The Victrix Pro is such a well designed controller. It's clear that a lot of thought was put into every aspect of its design. From the easy to swap components, to the nice case. - Setup Getting started with the Victrix is pretty straightforward. It includes a dongle to plug into the Xbox or a PC. I do wish that it didn't need the dongle, but I understand why it uses it for performance. Once the dongle is in place, you can get the app from the Windows store to find tune controls and test or reassign buttons. I found the app to be pretty easy to use and intuitive as well. Setting dead zones and fine tuning other options was very easy. Once that was set, the controller was ready to use in seconds. - Hardware The real star of the show. The controller itself is excellently designed. The clutch controls to set the stop point for the triggers is a pretty clever design. It took me a second to understand how they worked, but the idea is great for setting the trigger distance for exactly what I wanted. The quick tap to set them to act like a digital button was nice as well. I also really like the swappable components. This is probably the main feature that most will be looking at this controller for, and they are excellent. While I do wish there was some sort of toolless way to swap them, using the included screwdriver in the case isn't all hard at all. And, they were clever to make sure the screws can't fall out. I haven't had any issues of components not being recognized when swapping them either. Even when the controller is on. You can actually see when the components are secured in place while within the app. The different stick gates are a nice touch, and the multiple dpad options are nice as well. The fight stick configuration was one that piqued my interest the most, and I really like using both the + type dpad, and the size button component. The different length thumb sticks are nice options as well, for those that would prefer them. Battery life has been another high point for me. I have been easily getting 18+ hours out of it. I also really like that Turtle Beach sells replacement components as well. So if you happen to wear one out or lose it, you can order just that part. That goes for both sides of the controller. Even though I don't think stick drift will ever be an issue with this controller and the hall effect sticks, it's nice to know that I can replace any piece with relative ease. Overall, this is an excellent, premium controller option. It may be a bit on the pricier side, but you definitely get what you pay for. Pros: excellent modular design, good battery life, nice case that stores extra components and screwdriver, good software, excellent button response Cons: a bit pricey (but worth it), I wish the components were toolless to change

This controller has been a hit at our household since unboxing last week. My son and I have had a great time taking turns with this controller and comparing how it sizes up vs a standard console controller. In short there are 2 reasons why this controller is a must have: Customization and comfort. In terms of customization, this controller has the ability to customize everything from bindings to joystick to buttons. Meaning, you can bind, swap and update (nearly) the entire controller to make sure that it fits your hands and gaming style. The additional back buttons can all be bound to gameplay features which adds a competitive advantage against those playing with a standard controller. From a build standpoint the grips and buttons are very grippy. My son mentioned that even in the heat of an online battle where his hands are sweaty, the controller does not lose its sensitivity or gripy-ness. I have never used a controller that ban be tweaked to be this sensitive. This controller also has a USB charge port as well as a mini plug in which makes adding any accessory a breeze. If you are a competitive gamer looking for a top end customizable controller then this is your item. It is build well and provides you with all of the necessary tool to swap or customizable joystick height or buttons.

I was having issues with my Elite controller and the bumper buttons not working or registering clicks, so I needed a replacement and wanted back paddles. I have gotten so used to them and they have improved my FPS gaming so I had to get them again. This one was a bit pricey for my liking for only casual gaming, but I did not like the back button layout on some of the competitors so I went with the Turtle Beach. Pros: Nice button layout, customization, button feel and responsiveness, battery life, precision Cons: price, purple LED ring is not customizable, no charging dock like my Xbox Elite series controller

Very good quality controller that has a lot of different features and customizable for different play styles. Controller is very lightweight thumbstick movement is really smooth and really fast hair trigger.

I, like everyone else, suffered stick drift on my Elite 2 controller, it was time for a replacement. I landed on another product first, but returned that quickly. This controller has very high levels of customization, a the battery life on a single charge is great. I game frequently on FPS and this hits the mark. The trigger locks are easy to engage, the controller inputs are snappy and responsive, just a really great controller.

Using on a PC, was not prepared for how incredibly customizable every feature of this controller is. Has different height joystick replacements, adjustable quick or full triggers, extra pads underneath. Every button customizable via app. Would absolutely recommend.

The build quality on the Elite Series 2 is unmatched. The weight feels incredibly premium, and the wrap-around rubberized grips keep it totally secure in your hands. Being able to physically adjust the thumbstick tension and dial in the hair-trigger locks completely changes the feel of shooters and racing games. The back paddles are a game-changer since you rarely have to take your thumbs off the sticks. Plus, the battery life is insane—it easily goes 30+ hours on a single charge. If you want a competitive edge or just a high-end feel, this is the one to get.

After looking at a bunch of other controllers the main reason i bought this one was of the ability to swap the right joystick out for more buttons (great for fighting games) and the ability to have the 2 joysticks side by side like a playstation controller.

Really like it and so does my kid even though we like different style of controllers this gives up the flex we need.

Amazing and fully custom but just didn’t like the feel

Pros: -Premium quality feel and materials -Hall Effect analog sticks -Dolby Atmos wired headphone jack -Has rumble Cons: -Back paddles are not modular; likely to press buttons while using controller with a standard grip The Victrix Pro BFG offers tons of customization that's as simple as unscrewing 2 screws, and screwing 2 screws, per module you replace. What I love about the screws is each module that connects to the controller's base has its own set of screws threaded in. So you never need to fully unscrew them to use them for another module. The screws are also threaded to the module in such a way where there's 2 zones. One where you unscrew the screw until it releases itself from the controller. After that you can't unscrew the screw anymore. The screw remains attached to the module. Unless you push it further up with your finger and continue to unscrew it. Only then can you remove the screw entirely from the module. But I love that the screws can stay attached to the module. This way I never really have to worry about losing the screws, which are an essential part to the function of this controller. It's an Xbox controller, so the default layout is that of an Xbox controller's. But if you prefer the PlayStation controller's layout, you can switch up the modules to do that. You can move the d-pad to the top-left corner, and the analog sticks side-by-side on the bottom. The best part is, the face buttons will still be the Xbox buttons, so there's no confusion of memorizing which PlayStation button corresponds to which Xbox button if you were to somehow use a PlayStation controller on an Xbox, or a PC game that uses Xbox controls. Likewise, you can swap the d-pad for something of a more Nintendo controller feel, with the cross d-pad. Unlike the PlayStation version of the Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded, the Xbox version *does* have the rumble feature, which works with both Xbox and PC games. What I also consider as an advantage is that it does not have the touchpad, unlike the PlayStation version, which is great when used as a PC controller because you won't accidentally trigger it, since the PlayStation's DualShock 4 and DualSense touchpad can be used as a mouse and can't be disabled without third party means. Some may consider this as a disadvantage, so bear this in mind. For my use, I found the touchpad to be more intrusive than helpful on PC because of the accidental inputs. The Reloaded version has Hall Effect analog sticks to prevent drifting. From my 100+ hours of using it, I have never experienced any drift issues with either of the analog sticks. Changing the gates for the sticks is as simple as screwing a module, swapping the gate, and screwing the module back in. You can also change the analog stick to a shorter one. As usual, your mileage may vary as far as battery usage goes, but it can go for about 20 hours per charge. I did experience a couple of annoyances with the controller though. It doesn't come with a paper manual. The manual and instructions for the customization can be found on Turtle Bay's website. But the bigger peeve that may be a deal breaker for some users is that the back paddles are not modular. So they will always get in the way of your fingers if you have large hands. To avoid pressing the back paddle buttons, you'd have to have to finger your fingers in, making what would've been a great feeling ergonomic controller into something less comfortable. I will say though, after several days of use, I got used to it. But this also meant me constantly making accidental presses of the back paddles. When I used them as a PC controller, I had to use the controller's PC software to disable the back paddles. Which brings me to my next point. You can customize the function of the buttons using its Windows software. The back paddles are on by default. The back paddles placed on the inside of the grips and easily accessible. The buttons are relatively quiet and feel responsive. The 6 button layout module was perfect for the fighting games I played them with. Unlike the Sega Saturn controller, which is a fan favorite among some fighting game d-pad players, the buttons are all big and equal in size. On the back of the controller is a switch where you can adjust the travel of the trigger buttons. There is a wired headphone jack on the controller that comes with a Dolby Atmos license. You'll be able to get Dolby Atmos spatial sound for games that support it, using any wired headphones you connect to it. If you can get past the intrusive back paddles like I eventually did, it's a comfortable controller that feels great to play on for hours without any cheap feel of annoyingly clicky or mushy buttons, that's also very customizable to your liking.

It is good for the price. it definitely not comparable to the elite 2 controllers tho. very light and durable.
