But it would be nice if I could use the Apple Watch to retrieve messages without having to also have my iphone with me.

Great watch for any apple lover.

It does more than I expected. My one flaw I found is my battery needs charged every day at night. Maybe I just have to much going on. But I love it. Bought my wife one a week later.

GOOD TO HAVE IT BUT NOT NECESSARY

Secondly, Best Buy has the stainless steel on sale for $200.00 off. I enjoy the watch but not necessary to have it. The battery last for 2.5 days.
