This watch (even at the discounted price) only makes sense for iPhone users. The 42 size is better for touch and easier on the eyes (even on my thin wrists (as long as you use bands that can go tighter than the sports band).

LOVE IT. Would totally recommend it. It's great at work where you can't have your phone out but still want to stay in touch with messages.

A little about me. I am a network engineer that goes to the gym 5-6 days a week and runs 3 days a week as an average. I wanted a device that I could see my current pace and hr when I was on a run and use the 'Runkeeper' app. When I found that runkeeper would work I was very hopeful as I have been using it for years now on my iPhone and I have hated not being able to see what my time was live. I thought with the watch that I would be able to track my run and current pace from my wrist and be able to stop and or pause my run. Let me be clear this was the primary and really only reason I bought this. I was looking at the Garmin 6xx series and the new 320 and 325 as a comparison. I figured that with the additional features and the price being almost the same that the iWatch was a better deal. I was wrong. The features on the apple product are nice but the inaccuracy of the integrated HR monitor when doing any gym activity is pretty bad. If you are doing any type of weight training the simple deflection of the watch off of your wrist a little is enough to drop the accuracy of a consistent read down to you asking the question why do I bother. I have concluded through multiple trial and error tests that even with a external chest strap that due to the blue tooth on the watch dropping connectivity almost like clockwork (no pun intended) that even putting the watch into airplane mode then switching it back on didn't help. Then I get to the point where the chest strap won't connect to the device at all. I believe apple is trying to do too much perfectly and not enough correctly. I have had a lot of difficulty with the watch keeping accurate reads on HR when I am working out and with 3rd party apps crashing. including Runkeeper the UA record app. My fitness pal etc. From what I can tell there isn't a preferred way to connect an external HR chest strap if you are looking to track more accurately. You have an option to connect via in app, on the phone in blue tooth devices, and also from the watch itself. Not to mention that each app has its own settings to choose from whether or not to read from the watch or from the phone. For me this has become a device that slows me down versus one that gives me hind sight or a current look at what I am doing. To say I am not impressed is accurate. Not completely disappointed but for the price I expected better stability. Calling apple support on this is kind of like using the force. They sound smart but it comes across more like they are using string theory concepts to speculate what you should try to get it to do what you want. There are some cool features. If you own a motorcycle and want to use apple maps for directions being able to have it vibrate and tell you to turn one way or another without looking at your phone is huge. just a twist of the wrist and your eyes are for the most part just barely off the road. I didn't think about this feature until after I owned the watch. The rest of it is more gimmicky to me than anything else.

Just Okay - Just a Toy

This is an expensive toy that is fun to use at times, frustrating at other times, and convenient on occasion. The activity tracker fails in comparison to my Fitbit, so I'm stuck with wearing both. Some of the set up processes aren't logically arranged. The notifications are helpful, when they synch. Too many emails never appear on my watch. The lack of reliability isn't helpful. Why did I keep it? Because my daughter has one too and wants to be Wonder Twins and we can 'draw' messages to each other!

I had tried the apple watch with the rubber band and it didn't fit me all that well. This band however feels great and looks really nice.
