Feels like a first gen product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The things I really like about the watch are its ability to customize the watch face, getting messages and notifications on my wrist, and answering calls when I have it on. The speakers work surprising well and it frees up your hand to hold other things than a phone. This comes in really handy especially as a parent of a baby and for more tasks than you think. The worst part is the battery life. I've noticed that even when I don't wear it for like 2-3 days, I have to recharge it before wearing it. Also, it doesn't support video very well (if at all). I've had this for a month now, and I have yet to find ANYTHING that plays video. Of course, you wouldn't be watching movies or anything lengthy on your wrist, but an occasional video message or a quick check of some moving content would be welcome. Also, I feel like the minutes of movement is wildly inaccurate. I've noticed it doesn't track movement down the stairs all that great. Lastly, the interface, while good enough for basic purposes, either hides too much or shows too much. The showing too much is the home screen full of icons. It is a bit tough to find the app you are looking, esp if you have many. The showing too little is the activity tracker. Did you know that there is a built-in pedometer that is automatically started on the watch? If you think this is done via a pedometer (or steps walked) app, you would be wrong. It is in the activity app, and it is hidden in a glance on the movement tab. I found it by accident, really. The worst part about that is that if you want to track "steps walked" instead of "calories burned" for example (as a goal or circle to complete for the day), you can't do that. The last thing that really bothers me is that it needs the iPhone like a super clingy baby needs its mommy for everything. That is horrible because I've been noticing that my phone battery gets drained more quickly since bluetooth is on 24x7. I used to have that permanently off. There are also many fit and finish issues that just make this feel very first gen. I think that Apple has kept the bar fairly low, so they can wow us with incremental "wow" features for the next and the next next, etc watch cycle, Overall, buy it for it is. I am happy enough to keep it only because I got it at a good discount on Best Buy and got the cheapest model. At this point, anything more expensive would be a shear waste in my opinion. If the Watch 2 or later is way more compelling than this, you can always trade this in for a "better bill of materials".

Loved so much upgraded to 42mm
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I only got this watch because I'm getting ready to start school again at 35 and I wanted to feel like I'm always available to my husband and 3 kids. But obviously I can't keep my phone out and checking it all the time. So I went for it especially since it's $50 off for Black Friday. In my mind I just thought it would be a great way to see a quick text, picture, or email. OMG, I ended up falling in love with it. I found myself hardly using my phone. The exercise tracker is so motivating for me, I went to Best Buy online to look for a new band and saw they now how the watch $100 off so I upgraded to the larger 42mm because I use mine so much and love it so much. The 38mm is a bit small to use as much as I was, Im looking forward to working with a little larger face. I haven't had it for the past few days because I'm waiting for my 42mm to come in and I have felt so naked! It allowed me to see how much I am really using it and how much it motivated me to move more when I had it on. I'm encouraging all my friends to get one with have an iPhone. On a side note, the double tour band on Amazon in red and black look amazing with this watch. I'll post pictures below.

Great Apple Product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a semi-tech Savy gal who loves to get ahold of all the new Apple products. For me this is a fun way to fulfill my Apple Product needs on the go. I like the ease of use, and as I said I am not an Apple genius...so good product for me. I like that it has fitness tracking capabilities and does so much more than a Fitbit...ok I am Apple biased. You can access apps, text, or emails at your wrist and it has an attractive design with interchanable straps. And no, I do not work for Apple.

A useful smart watch!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wear my Apple Watch nearly every day, and have found it to be very helpful. This is especially true as it relates to health and wellness. I am able to track my activity closely, setting goals for myself to push a little bit more each day. Having call, text and map notifications on my wrist has been very helpful. The only downside to the Apple Watch is that it loses much of its functionality if it becomes too far separated from your iPhone. Since I carry my phone with me almost anywhere, this hasn't been a problem yet.

I absolutely love it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was a little worried I didn't need an Apple Watch and would regret spending the money, but I absolutely love it! It's easy to use. It looks so good on your wrist. It has so many functions. Quickly be alerted to a phone call. Take that call right on the watch! Glance at text messages without reaching for your phone. Be reminded to stand up and walk around instead is sitting at your desk all day. And oh so much more!

Love it so far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Okay when I finally decided to buy this I really did think about it before hand. I was already in the market for a watch and thought why not get one that actually does something besides only telling the time. I'm more or less a text addict. I like keeping myself connected almost all times and its easy to disconnect when needed. There's a lot of useful features that Ive found since getting this. I practically never miss a notification and I can look quickly and see if its important or leave it for later. Before I always missed calls and even if my phone is charging away from me. I can still see them. Especially if you're in the middle of something important or just always on the go. You almost never miss a notification. One of my favorite features is the watch faces. Some are useful and others are a little more personal. Like of you want a few of your favorite photos to show up or just one. Makes it a little more personal to you. And of course keeping track of time. Something else that I enjoy about it is the glances. Check the weather, track your workout progress, play music, etc without even taking out your phone. And now I always know where my phone is since sometimes I may lose track of it around the house. Now I simply use the watch to find it with a press and it beeps even if its on vibrate or silent. I know some people have found it is not worth it but it all depends what your needs are and so far I love mines. Maybe next time I should go with a bigger one. Also rose gold is my favorite color so it looks lovely.

Buy one!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Who could ever need an Apple Watch, I thought to myself. Now that I have one I truly love it! First of all it is a cool looking watch! I love changing the faces. It is comfortable. It is nice to be notified of texts and emails. I can just glance at my watch at work and decide if the message needs my attention or not. I love the fitness feature, too. And the calendar and the weather app. Yep, I love my Apple Watch!

Great Watch.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This watch is a lot of fun while being well integrated into the iPhone platform. It is not too bulky and the choice of faces is great. I also like the fact that it keeps up with your physical activity during the day through the installed app, although there are a number of other apps you can download for the same thing. I also like that I can check the weather quickly and easily. I am really enjoying my watch!

Great Apple Watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have had my Apple Watch for a little over a month now and just love it. If you are a fan of Apple products, I would highly recommend this watch. I love all that it can do from getting notifications, emails, news and exercise all on the watch. With a 3rd party app you can even track your sleep and your sleep habits. Had a Fitbit Surge and returned it for the Apple Watch and I am now a happy camper. The Fitbit was very uncomfortable to wear and bulky, but with the Apple Watch you don't even know you have it on. Apple did an amazing job with this one!!

Rose Gold Apple Watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really enjoy my Apple Watch. I love the rose gold color and it matches my phone. I am on my feet all day, so I wanted something to track my calories while working. I never had a fitbit or similar device so I am not sure of how accurate it is. I also haven't kept my watch on the full day at work because I work a physically demanding job with very aggressive autistic students, but for the time I have worn it, the watch seems very durable, I am just paranoid I am going to break it. I really wish there was a sleep app because that was one of the main reasons I purchased the watch. I think the coolest feature is that I can start my car from my watch because I have Drone Mobile with my remote start. The call quality is good, the person on ththe other end could hear me fine, but I was in a quiet place. I tried to use it in the parking lot of a sporting event, and I couldn't hear the person on my phone call , so if its a crowded loud place you probably won't hear. I wish you could play music straight from the watch, it only plays to your iphone or Bluetooth headphones. It plays sound so I don't understand why the music doesn't work. If I forget to put my watch on, I honestly don't feel like I am missing anything because I have my phone, and the watch is much more limited. The health features are cool, but a fitbit does more for less money. The only reason I pulled the trigger and bought this was because it was on sale for $249 and with my Best Buy rewards I paid closer to $200 which actually isn't much more than the fitbit. There sre some cool features like sending a heartbeat and sending a drawing, but you can only do that to others that have an Apple Watch, and unfortunately no one I talk to has one. I am short 4'11 and have small wrists so the 38mm is a perfect size for me, the 42mm would have looked too big. You can also buy screen protectors, bands, and cases on Amazon for cheap so you can accessorize your watch. Hopefully some of the features will be improved upon further updates because right now its cool, but I still end up using my phone for most things. I don't usually utilize the texting and maps because I also have Apple Car Play in my car, so in my car I use that instead of my phone and watch. It is a nice product, but you should know about the features and limitations before buying. I think of more like a novelty item than being something fully functional or needed.

love it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When apple watch first came out I wasn't that interested in them. Didn't see the point. I recently got a $100 gift card and was looking to get some kind of fitness tracker. When apple dropped the price and best buy had it on sale even more I decided to go for it annnnnnd I love it and haven't regretted it since. I workout basically everyday so I enjoy filling up all the circles. It's also great that I get notifications on it like messages, snapchat, facebook etc. I can just take a quick look and see if I want to reply to them or not... I also go snowboarding and enjoy the Slopes app. I can take a quick peek and see how fast I've gone or how many runs I've done for the day. Just makes things easier so you're not always having to pull out your phone. I would recommend this to anyone who is considering it. You'll enjoy it.

Looks good, easy to use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have only had the watch for a couple of days but so far I like it. I mainly got it as an activity tracker but I am really liking the notifications for email and text too. It is more useful overall than I thought it would be. I am in the process of getting wireless headphones so I can pair it with the watch and have music for workouts. The watch was easy to set up and I didn't need any instruction to get started.

Fantastic watch!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this watch for my wife for her birthday (I don't have one yet). She LOVES it! She'll be the first to tell you it has changed her life. That sounds dramatic, and maybe it is a little, but the truth is, it has really helped her at work, as well as personally. She is a private piano teacher, so she can't have her phone making all sorts of sounds nor can she take her attention off of teaching to answer a text or call. But if her watch alerts her to something, she can at least be in the know about it and if it was an emergency, she'd be able to respond. Personally, it has helped her be more aware of fitness and exercise, and it's also helped her be less dependent on having to constantly look at her phone. Bottom line... She highly recommends it, and I can't wait to get one of my own!!

Great watch fitness device
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the apple watch it helps me reach my fitness goals plus it looks like a watch its slim design goes well with every occasion unlike most other fitness watches. It is very easy to operate & I love that I can pick which apps I want to add. I also love the fact I can get my texts & phone calls while out running w/o having to drag out my phone.

Came in so fast
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got the 38mm for myself and the 42mm for my husband. Mine came in the day after I ordered and my husband's took about 3 days. I love the activity tracking. The maps feature taps you on the wrist when it's time to turn so no more wondering if this is the right street or if its the one right after that when you can't make out the street signs yet. I can leave my phone on silent all the time now and not miss phone calls or texts because it taps your wrist even if the watch is set on silent mode. It is ridiculously easy to set up. It only takes about 5 minutes to set it up with your phone. There are lots of customizable features depending on what you are getting it for. My husband and I like the novelty of sending each other taps and messages with them. I assume most people are going to use it as an activity tracker and that was my main focus as well. I like the three goals you can customize and if you are going slowly it will remind you to get up and move unless you turn those reminders off. It is nice because you can set it up to nag you or you can tell it not to if that is your preference. Yes I know it is just a toy but it is a very nice and well made toy. :D Enjoy.

It's a Smart Watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have long been a devoted Apple user. I'm getting a Master's in Computer Sciene, so I am not one to blindly follow apple anywhere they go. I was hesitant to purchase an Apple Watch, it wasn't until my fiancé expressed wanting one for Christmas that I finally gave in and purchased two. There are very few things about this wearable that are really note worthy. Much like my title states, it's a smart watch. It functions like many of the other fitness/smart watches in its class. Below you'll find the pros and cons. Cons: The most disappointing feature is the battery life. Being an owner of other smart watches, I was hoping for a little more in battery life. Unfortunately be prepared to charge this guy each night. Another disappointing feature is that this device does not track sleep. The final disappointing feature is that there are a limited number of watch faces, which isn't a huge flaw, but annoying none the less. Pro's: Send and receive messgaes, iMessage, SMS, haptic (heart beat, drawings), notifications. Tracks steps, calories, heart beats, excercise, number of times you have stood. Easy to set up, and relatively user friendly. Will long your phone if it's in range, you have Bluetooth turned on and you cannot find it. Over all it's an okay device. Is it worth all of the fuss, probably not but I'm not disappointed in my purchase.

Fun watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm really liking my Apple watch, I'm still getting to know what all it can do ,but so far I like it. I feel like the secret service when my watch rings and I talk into it. Love how it thumps my wrist to alert me of messages. I'm motivated to workout and move more since I've started wearing it. Fun watch!

motivational fitness tracking and much more
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Big fan of the Activity app that tracks calories, exercise and active hours. You can set it up to give periodic reminders about your progress throughout the day, and it'll also remind you to get moving for at least a minute each hour. Beyond fitness/workout logging, I've enjoyed the convenience of using Apple Pay through two quick clicks of a button. Also like controlling my music and getting various notifications (e.g., texts, bank activity) without taking out my phone.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So easy to use. Love that I get text alerts, emails, breaking news, keeps track of my activity and tells me when to get up and move. I never miss a phone call since I keep my iPhone in my purse and can't always hear it, but now my watch alerts me. Wristbands are easy to change out for different looks

Very happy!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, I've read many reviews claiming of poor battery life. I typically go through 40-50% of my battery wearing it an average of 13-14 hours a day. I use it to read and sometimes respond to texts, phone calls, activity meter, email & weather. I'm not a 'have to check my FB posts' all day or any other obsessive behavior. I use it as an accessory...as a glorified watch with bells whistles and I couldn't be happier. It functions great, it's comfortable and attractive. I feel it's what you should expect from Apple and I don't really have anything disappointing to say. I do suggest ponying up for a screen protector though. One swipe across the wall walking through a doorway and you can scratch it up like any other watch. It's shine and sleekness will show that scratch even more so.
