This was a gift for my wife for mother's day. She had just upgraded her iphone to the 6sPlus and wanted a fitness tracker. A few years back I bought her a FitBit, and thank God I got a square trade warranty because it crapped out about 4 months after we purchased it. Thinking about buying another FitBit for her and going through the process of sending it back when it broke gave me angina. I have been purchasing things long enough to know that some brands are worth spending a bit more money. I killed 3 Ninja blenders before arriving at my Vitamix, went through many vacuums before my Dyson and know enough about IOS to know third party apps are sometimes hit or miss. Spending a little over $100 between the FitBit HR and the Apple Watch made sense. All that being said here is my analysis. I'm also taking in to consideration I've used or seen most of the competition (zenwatch, Moto360, LG's watch, Samsung Gear, and Pebble to name a few) Build Quality I've had enough Apple devices/computers to know the build quality would be good, but wow is it good. The band technology is pretty cool, aside from the bands being ridiculous priced they make them very simple to exchange and accessorize. It fits snug and securely.

Debated about getting this - was it more hassle or not? Turns out I love it! Sleek, helpful and timely- all right at my fingertips.

This replaced her fit bit which she loved - but she loves the watch so much more! She can see incoming messages and emails when she isn't allowed to have her phone out at work!

I really like the ability to see texts, emails and notifications without having to take my phone out. Another thing that I use a lot is the maps application - very handy with tactile sensation and easy to see directions to turn.

I absolutely love my watch. It's great for when I'm busy with kids or more likely, my kids have stolen my phone to play games, I can still call and text. Along with, I love the health features tracking resting and active calories.

I have 2 of these watches. My first is silver & this one has the gold tone. I rarely wear my other watches because I love getting notifications, calls. Etc. on the Apple Watch!

The only thing I would add is an actual keyboard for texting other than that so far I love the fact of being able to respond to call a call or text without having to pick up my phone. Love all the accessories available for it too.

First off, you MUST have an iPhone 5 or 6 for the watch to work. Since they have updated to WatchOS 2, it does work better. But I still expected more customization, more apps for the watch and most of all, more usefulness. It almost seems like a very expensive electronic gadget. I'm fine with that, but I expected more customization and more functionality.

No problems, no lag, it's crazy how smart this thing is. It does everything it says it does. It really a lot to put in one review . All I can say is when they first came out the stores didn't sell them well, when you just walk up to the display and mess with it, it doesn't seem like much. After trying the Moto because it seemed like the better choice, turned out it wasn't. At least not with an apple phone. Went ahead and got the Apple Watch, love it, just takes using it for an hour or so to see it power and abilities.

I liked it's various functions; however, I felt that it everything it did was the same as an iPhone except on a smaller scale. I expected more but I guess I personally was not impressed with it. Definitely recommend it to people who hate using their iPhone and would like something simpler. Overall, it's a watch with an awesome Mickey Mouse watch face.

Would recommend to anyone looking for a smart watch. I convinced myself I needed it for school to check manual blood pressure with, but it really does so much more. In the past I haven't really worn a watch but I wear this daily.

I bought it as a gift for someone and they were fairly pleased with the product. They just wished there were more apps that did more with the watch and it took a little getting used to before they could work it with ease. Overall it's a good buy and if you're going to spend the money on a Fitbit I say you're better off getting the Apple Watch instead.

Bought it for work, was good to get messages on my wrist than having to keep pulling out phone out. The quick "OK" or "thumbs up" help with quick replies. The notifications when using maps on your phone is awesome as well when driving. Especially if your car isn't equiiped with built in GPS. I would only recommend setting your email accounts that do not get tons of spam as it will eat your battery, Speaking of battery, not bad, just charge every night for me, usual get down to 40-50% after a lot of use, I have a set up to charge my iphone and watch nightly so it doesn't bother me. Not a bad watch, should've known the price point would've lowered after a while, but I wanted to try it out. If i waited a couple of months it would've saved me some money..But oh well.

    Red Exclamation After 2 Days

I received this watch as a gift bought online from Best Buy. For the first two days it worked well although I suspected something was wrong because my exercise apps were not showing up on my Apple Watch home screen. During the software update the screen froze and popped up the red exclamation mark on reboot. I have used Apple products for 10 years with no problems and I was very excited about this watch. Word to the wise, pair this watch to your phone at time of purchase and update it there and then. If your watch has a problem call ahead to the Apple Store before taking it in to save yourself hours of waiting only for them to mail it out.
