Expectations not achieved
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very excited about purchasing this product as I am a woman that has a purse that's a black hole. I wanted to know who was calling & if they were worth the time of me actually digging my phone out. That part was great. I also have a workout app & wanted to track my walking that was a epic fail. Bad far as the speaker to talk it's not very loud.

Disappointed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received my Apple Watch for my birthday in October last year and my glass screen has separated from its body the glue did not hold. I have never had a Watch come apart like this. I should of ready the reviews apple should of had a recall on these as it looks like it is common with there watch

Apple Watch For the Win
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I never thought I would own an apple watch, yet here I am, LOVING it. Visually stunning, great rose gold color and I wear it every day all the time! Functionally, it's made my life easier for quick responses to texts, activity and exercise tracking, answering phone calls while cooking or driving, and in general is just a fun toy. highly recommend.

Medicore But it was a gift
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'll start by saying I'm generally a fan of Apple products. In our house, we have iPhones, iPods, iPads and a Mac Mini. When the Watch came out, I figured that I'd give it a try even though I haven't worn a watch in probably 10 years. I was impressed with the design and the high quality materials used. I wanted the watch to serve as a fitness tracker, running watch and to receive call/text/calendar notifications from my phone. As an activity tracker and running watch, Apple has failed in my opinion. The lack of continuous heart rate measurement, no integrated GPS, no integrated sleep monitoring software and poor battery life made this watch not worth the money for me. If all you're looking for is a smart watch that seamlessly interacts with your iPhone, then this is probably the best product on the market to date. For me, however, I could not justify the cost. Perhaps I am being too picky, but when you purchase the "sport" model, it should have more than just a sport band. Apple should take some tips from the Motorola Moto 360 2nd gen. It provides all of the features of an activity tracker, running watch and smart watch. I can't say, however, what the battery life is like. I tried one for a week and ended up returning it only because of the limited support for iOS. Android users have a pretty sweet watch to choose from. In the end, I've decided to hold off for now and use my Fitbit Charge HR for activity tracking and my Garmin Forerunner 225 for running. Hopefully the next generation Apple Watch will have continuous heart rate monitoring (without keeping it in an activity mode), built in GPS and much better battery life. The Moto 360 improves battery life by increasing the depth and circumference of the watch. I would be willing to accept these trade offs on the Apple Watch if I bought the Sport model. I'm aware that everyone buying an Apple Watch has different expectations and needs, but it did not work for me given the $250 price tag.

Elegant, iPhone Extender, I <3 My Apple Watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tracking of overall activities, of which sleep and continuous heart rate were most important in my choice of a wearable, has unfortunately still got a lot of moving parts to it. iPhone 6S user that I am, I am currently still figuring out the workflow of apps (used to be an avid Digifit app user with a Zephyr heart rate monitor chest strap). I wanted the additional data of continuous heartrate [HR] at the wrist--so convenient! fitbit (embarrased to say I tried this first) seemed inherently incapable (unwilling) to make the whole using a third party fitness tracker app with GPS work with their system, tried the fitbit Charge HR, then the fitbit One before going for an awesome Best Buy sale price on the Apple Watch (which is what I originally wanted, anyway, but was unwilling to pay $300+ for). fitbits, I discovered would not connect and report data to anything but the fitbit app, which is rather limited, pairs to my iPhone 6S using bluetooth and sucked my iPhone 6S battery quite dry in a short outdoor cardio session with GPS turned on. Not going to work for me long term! SIDEBAR: It would be awesome if coder nerds for all the companies in this sector could work towards some handshaking between the disparate apps, heart rate monitors, GPS trackers and phones, oh and let's not forget the built in Health app inherent to iOS devices like mine. As good for users as this would be, perhaps it is not happening because it isn't so good for business (?). Bummed that I can no longer use my Digifit app on the Apple Watch. That was a sweet little fitness tracker, but alas, heart rate at the wrist has drawn me away forever (or at least until Digifit writes an Apple Watch compatible app for fitness tracking). :) So, let's talk about how beautiful and sleek this elegant little Apple device is! Not native to its tracking ability is sleep tracking, but with an app called Sleep++ I've added a "complication" (interesting that this is what they are called) that tracks my sleep at the wrist and aggregates the ZZZ data. There is so much it can do that were I to list it all, this review would be even longer than it already is, so suffice it to say it is probably the most efficient extension of my iPhone there ever was. Until I bought Apple Watch, I didn't really know how much I needed one. Reminders and texts have gotten so much easier to deal with, especially those related to alarms and to dismiss an iPhone alarm on the Apple Watch is a simple flick--boom! I don't eve have to look at my phone--and there are times throughout the day when looking at my phone is not do-able or is perhaps inappropriate. Apple Watch makes it happen without a hitch. Apple Watch also effortlessly makes calls (like Dick Tracy), and hands off apps to the phone when needed. A silent Siri does the Watch based legwork (I discovered I much prefer Siri silent, snarky little companion that he is). The best thing about it is the wake alarm (set on the watch only) that tap-tap-taps me on the wrist gently and NEVER wakes my light-sleeping partner. Very lovely, much needed thing for keeping the 4:30 am yoga from interfering with the harmony at home. I have heard whining about the Watch's battery life, so I just charge for a bit while I am in the shower and getting ready for the day and then once again when I arrive at work (those times are when I am OK sacrificing tracking movement activities) and it remains fully and consistently charged so I can sleep through the night with it tracking my ZZZ's. Love the stand reminders, love the beautiful, colorful simplicity of the companion Activity app on the iPhone that tracks Move, Exercise and Stand stats. I dream that I am getting healthier and more active. The reality of whether or not this is actually true is something I can now check on my phone. So cool! HR seems reasonably accurate, although there are lots of arguments out there about the way Apple Watch tracks HR data and how not-so-perfect the algorithm is, blah-blah-blah. I explored so many other (non Apple) wearable options before deciding to just get what I wanted that I'm really willing to just accept the HR data as-is (however imperfect the math may be) because the chest strap gets old and because I wanted to get a really clear picture of what my resting heart rate really is. Now I can see the big picture by checking what's up with my HR in the automagically integrated iOS Health app! So much more to explore with Apple Music that I haven't even done yet. Bought an LG Tone INFINIM headset to bluetooth my jamz from the watch and attempt some outdoor fitness romps without lugging along my phone. I have read that there is some limited GPS tracking using Watch sans iPhone, but only after doing the route with the iPhone first. I have to read more How-Tos' in order to get the most out of it, and I also expect that later releases of the Watch OS will bring new features. That's what's pretty awesome about the Apple ecosystem. We shall soon see how that goes! :)

Amazing smart watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Apple Watch is great in so many ways. One feature I think is great is the iPhone finder. You just press the button that has the phone icon and my phone beeps. I never lose my phone now with this option. I use the apps for counting my steps when I exercise and it shows how many calories are burned with designated exercise that is done. It is pretty much like your iPhone but on your wrist. I absolutely love it.

Great device that you don't realize you need
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I never thought much about the Apple Watch (even as an Apple user) until I was looking for a fitness tracker. After reading lots and lots of reviews, I thought about using the Apple Watch because it would work with my iPhone. I happened to find it on sale here at Best Buy which made it the same price as some of the other solely fitness trackers and it does so much more than that! I have really enjoyed it and use it so much more than I thought I would. I even got one for my Dad for Christmas after he saw me using it. It's one of those devices that you don't think you need until you get it and start using it. It's really helpful. I highly recommend it!

Perfect watch for Apple fans
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Is any watch worth more than $500? Not to me... however, the Apple Watch Sport is a great $300-400 teammate to my iPhone. Not having to reach into my pocket to answer a call, view a text, (or gasp: check the time!) while biking, driving or lounging is extremely convenient. It's lightweight, with a comfortable, yet easily swapable band. The 38mm size fits that avg. human wrist (male or female) just fine. Do you feel the urge to spend the extra $50 for 5 more mm, that's ok- it's your cash. On the fence? Watch (no pun) for open-box and refurbished deals from trustworthy retailers.

It really is the best smartwatch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After a disappointing experience with the Pebble Time (thank you for a forgiving return policy BestBuy!) I decided to try the Apple Watch. So far I love everything about the Apple Watch. Having used other fitness trackers I find this is a suitable replacement for them as well. The only thing I can't do is track sleep patterns because I do need to charge it every night. I have pretty average male wrists and the 38 fits perfectly. I prefer the smaller size because I just wanted a useful device and not something that commanded attention.

Great for Everyone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What I once thought was a useless gadget has now become an indispensable part of my everyday. I am a watch nut and have high expectations for all things Apple. I purchased this for my wife after owning my own Apple watch for a few months. If you're trying to decide between exercise trackers, like Fitbit and Garmin, give this a look. From activity tracking to notifications and keeping me on schedule, this was a great purchase. Not to mention the price Best Buy offered is far better than anywhere else.
