Returned Dash Cam since there is no indication it is recording or not. The parking feature was not working properly also.

Will not turn on or off automatic. Even when I set it to auto shutdown.Switches to emergency recording without being prompted to.

Bought this to use on trip to Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. It started to work then would shut off, come back on and shut off. took it off the windshield and it was extremely hot. will return if possible when I return from trip. VERY DISAPPOINTED

bought it 5/14 and it died completely 6/23.... i will never buy uniden garbage again... do not buy this it will die in 4-6 weeks

Every tiny bump set off the emergency recording function. Even on the least sensitive setting, it was basically always on. Returned it.

I wasn't impressed with the product unfortunately. We used it two times and that was it.

This camera is overpriced and not so great I am not sure if anyone would benefit from owning one

The camera worked good for about a month then quit working. The wire that plugs into my power supply will get hot to the touch and the camer stops working.

After looking at many many dash cams, I decided to go with this unit because of the quality, ease of use and it's small compact size. I attached mine just below the rear view mirror mount. The suction cup mount will stay in place if mounted correctly and the glass surface is clean prior to attaching. If you live in a hot climate you may occasionally have to re-attach it as the heat can cause it to loosen over time. I found the menus and settings to be very user friendly. In fact, I only referred to the manual for one or two things. The units G-sensor/Collision detection is set to normal by default, but I would recommend setting to the Low setting. Reason for this is normal bumps and jolts while driving trigger the emergency recording feature which will fill up your SD card rather quickly.. it will then tell you to reformat it over and over. So to avoid this issues set the G-sensor to Low as I mentioned above. I have mine set to auto recording where it will start recording when car is started. I also have Parking mode set to on as it will record when motion is detected. If you don't want it to record motion, for example if you parked in your garage for the night it will prompt you to turn off parking mode after 10 seconds. I haven't used the Lane departing feature but I would guess it works best during daylight and given the road surface is legible. Video playback quality is excellent and even the nighttime recording files are quite legible. For the price, being on sale was a good deal but I would not have paid full retail price. If you want more features than this particularly model DC4 there it also the DC4GT

Suddenly stopped charging in less than a year and trying to return it to the manufacturer is ridiculous.

This camera does not work art of the time. It shuts off and hard to get the camera to turn on.

Just stay away from this product.it is a waste of money

I received this dash cam as a bday gift last week. I was excited to use it and put it up right away. It does an amazing job at recording! I actually got rear ended today and this did a good job picking up the video. (It didn't catch from behind obviously but it got the impact!) The ONE con for this dash cam is that Emergency Recording goes off a lot when it shouldn't. This is not necessarily a bad thing but I would definitely turn the sensitivity down if i could..BUT I cant. That being said, it is a great dash cam!

Camera will power down if its unplugged (which makes it useless if you want to take the camera down and show to the police on scene). Also, the parking mode does not work. Camera also would not save videos to SD card. User interface very wonky and unreliable. Actually had an incident a few months later, took the camera down to look for video....NOTHING! Unreliable. Went and got my money back.

It worked for 2 months and then it stopped working. I started getting this error displayed on the screen memory card error and I need to reformat the memory card. I reformatted the card and it did not work, then I bought a new card after 2 hours the same error came up.
