Bought this for my father bc for the price you will not beat the range of this detector. The range is nowheres near my Valentine but I know for a fact that's its better than the OVER-PRICED new Escort. Do not fall for the Escort bc it has a fancy app, bc thats all that it has.

At the time the R8 just had came out and very pricey. This one has same features and many good reviews on YouTube. Also once you get it set correctly you will be notified many miles in advance. The auto filter that filters out false signals works really well. I would not drive a vehicle without having.

On the first day I used it, it saved me from a speeding ticket. In my mind this thing has already paid for it's self.
