Gave me a heads up miles out on some pretty sneaky troopers. Spots them from the rear, up ahead or coming from opposite direction. Has laser function; that has only gone off once and fortunately I was well under the limit. You wont regret this purchase.

I'm not exactly the most adherent to speed limits, and I don't really want tickets. My old radar detector was going on 20 years old, so it was time for an upgrade. This thing is great; has excellent range and a display that I love.

I like the original window mount, but comes with fancy mount too. Case is nice as well, I always keep mine secure when leaving the car.

Beats my Escort Redline

Favorite thing is being able to mark locations for false alarms. I compared it side-by-side for a week against my Redline with all the segments set. The R3 always alarmed first so is the clear winner. I sold the redline and the R3 has been on my window for since.

This device will give you a warning ahead of time so you can correct your speed during driving. We'll see how it holds up in the future but it's off to a excellent start in my opinion.
