Very happy with the purchase. Long range detection and a mute button on the charger for convenience, great design and setting options but especially like the setting for radar types so you can tell the difference between different types of signals.

Internal speaker failed this week, 1 year and 4 months after purchase. Online contributor's suggest it is probably the wire going to the speaker pinched in the Case. No issues though, I plugged a rechargeable speaker into the audio port. Kind of disappointing it failed so soon. The product is still cheap at $249. I gave it four stars because it works fantastic but am disappointed with the speaker issue, but at least I go a work around.

This is a really good radar detector. It is simple and easy to use. The Geek Squad at Best Buy hard wired the device to my truck, and did an outstanding job. I recommend that buyers have it installed at Best Buy.

Works good, low false alerts. Would love a feature to adjust for daylight savings, but no big deal.

Awesome long range detector! Probably saved me thousands during a 4300 mile coast to coast drive. Highly recommend! A little difficult if you aren’t familiar with settings but great tutorials available online!

The uniden r3 works as planned and works amazing have had 0 issues

I’ve had this radar detector for a little bit but when I had my first long distance drive through many states the performance was amazing I would get alerts from my radar detector even before Waze App would tell me that there’s Police ahead

Just what I needed, saved me multiple times already!

Easy to set up. it does not really work. Missed alot of cops nearby and it is big and bulky to be putting on your dash. Easy way to get a ticket.

Wasnt accurate as expected. It didnt ring up even once while cops are sitting right ahead of me on the highway . It only beeps k band for the automatic door sensors and the traffic lights

I purchased this for a long road trip this summer and it worked as advertised. It was on highway setting, so I didn't get a lot of false alarms. It gave me ample warning of several radar traps set up on my trip down 95, so I was able to avoid potential tickets. I don't regret this purchase.

Shopped around for quite a bit looking for a mid-price range detector. This one rivals my Escort Max360, if not a little better than it, at a lot less cost. I recommend it R3 for its distance and all the features, almost too many when setting it up :-)

Best radar detector I have had. This radar never has false readings and average about 2.5 miles.

Great, all of the essentials you would expect from a radar detector. The unidentified r3 also allows you to filter out frequencies to minimize false alerts. The customization is also amazing, an overall great investment.

Works every time, well before I see the radar or police vehicle, I only use the Ka and Laser features, in highway mode. The K and X features pick up every school zone radar or advisory speed radars which causes the unit to always be going off, with the X and K features off the detector only sounds when an actual radar ahead or police radar active coming from behind. Sometimes when nearing an overpass or underpass of a small town the detector may sound if there is a radar unit set near the highway on the side roads, all this unit needs is a directional pointer to further narrow done where the radar is located. This has been my best purchase ever!

It glues absolutely crazy in town with so many false readings. I had the cobra before this one and it seems no better and probably not worth the extra money.

Paid for itself within months....great product HIGHLY recommend......u wont be disappointed

I’ve been using this detector for a few months now and it has really saved me multiple times. I get a few false laser alerts but it is pretty spot on. Great radar detector for the price.
