Excellent for long distance notification

Extreme range

Exceeds expectations
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a new radar detector (previous detector was destroyed) and after reading many reviews I decided on the Uniden R3 vs the Escort models. I've only owned Escort models (for many years) but this Uniden has the features I want/need and doesn't have the bells and whistles (and added expense of these unnecessary features) I don't need/want. After using the Uniden R3 model for over 4,000 miles riding with friends using Escort models: I can personally verify the Uniden R3 model is superior in terms of early warning radar detection, which to me is the primary point of having a radar unit...
