Uniden R3 review

I've looked at guides and you name it anywhere and everyhere... I've talked to uniden and it's just not that great of a product... false alerts up the yahoo... like I said I've changed settings a million ways.... I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT...

Many false alarms, not for beginners

I set it up for her and it really needed to be tweaked because it was going off when it shouldn't and then not going off when it should. I was willing to tweak it to perfection for her but she was very disillusioned by how "non-plug-and-play" it was--so back to the store it went. Definitely not for non-tech geeks.

Excellent Radar Detector at Reasonable Cost

Horrible

Driving 1,000 miles back home I had bother radar detectors on my dash. My old bell worked perfectly except false detections of K band. The new uniden R3 never went off the entire trip. Will be returning it ASAP

Needs Automatic Rejection...

I attempted to tune it using all of the suggested configurations, but it just kept going off when Honda's/Acura's and Chryslers went were around. Also, it doesn't automatically remove door openers, as the Escort GPS units do. I am just going to spend a little more and get the Escort 360C. Tired of wasting money trying to save a little.
