1. Confirm if the power supply of the car charger is always on. Plug it into the cigarette lighter. The light will flash if the supply is poor.
2. Take out of the SD card and unplug the power cable. Then take the dashcam indoors and charge it with a 5V/3A adapter and a MINI USB cable for an hour to see if it can be turned on.
3. Use a pin to reset the device directly. The reset hole is behind the camera.
4. Unplug the rear camera kit to see if the front camera works well.
Besides, please check the USB port and the charging port, is there anything unusual?

It also records videos very well. It shows the location and speed when driving as well. Overall, it is a great product and I recommend it.

If your car doesn't have a built-in rear (parking-assist) camera, installing this dashcam is a no-brainer -- it has all the functions of the rear parking camera with the security of locking down any video of a crash. The front camera has excellent night vision, so even though it's somewhat redundant to what you're already seeing through your windshield, it might pick up a dog or deer in the road before your eyes would. Installation is easy - the included adhesive sticks to your windshield where your prior mirror was. The resolution and brightness of the display are outstanding, and the included GPS tracks events. All in all - this is a perfect retrofit for an older car to bring it up-to-date with the latest tech.

Unfortunately, the rear camera will not focus (yes I removed the film). I reached out to their support which at first was super friendly. When they found out I had an installer do the work, they wanted to work with them directly. Unfortunately, they're not honoring their warranty for me or the installer. My only option is to buy an entirely new setup - they don't sell the rear camera separately even as a replacement part. I'm sure this is a decent product if you don't have any trouble with it. But I will not be giving VanTop a second chance after this experience.

Wish to return but don't wanna waste more times to uninstall all the wiring already done from front to back. No latest firmware available. even the website is not accesible. Better get something else people.
