Terrible Set up and Grainy dark colors

Remote controller is pretty much non existent, must do everything from your phone. Also the picture is not that of 4k quality. I've noticed very grainy blacks and dark colors. Also very pixely at times, it gets frustrating when you spend that kind of money on a TV and my old Samsung 1080p out performs it...

Posted .Picture quality is highly dependent on several factors. One of the major factors is source and content. If a device is connected through HDMI then customers can see the best quality picture the source device is showing, however if the content was filmed in a lower resolution such as 480p then the picture isn't going to be as crisp and clear. If watching content that is 1080p or 2160p/4K, then the picture quality will be better as the source was filmed that way and can fill the screen instead of having to upscale the picture. Grainy blacks, dark colors, and pixelation are usually associated with lower resolution content or buffering images which can make great content look low quality.

It is the E55-D0 1080p model, when i clearly paid for the E55u-D2 4k tv. Hopefully they will exchange this, otherwise this is my last purchase from bestbuy and vizio!

Posted .Thanks for the feedback. There are a few ways to adjust the picture settings on this display. First, you can use the PIC button the IR remote to switch through several pre-set picture modes. If you'd like to adjust advanced picture settings for this display, you can download the VIZIO SmartCast App to a compatible Android or iOS device to adjust individual values like brightness, color, and sharpness. The application also has color tuner that lets you individually adjust the 11 point white balance, as well as the hue, saturation, offset, gain, and brightness of individual color values.
