    Bought this thinking it was a smart TV. Hated it from the moment I took it out of the box. Way to complicated to use. I wanna turn on TV and watch. Don't want to have to use an App then cast to a display!

    Returned this tv. Had to use my phone to program!! Way to complicated. Not a tv that could set up easily. Don't make a mistake and buy it!

    Bought for my parents and it doesn't even have a TV tuner. Cannot display over the air shows have to have HDMI, nothing but a big computer monitor.

    Their version of smart TV is using an app from your home device that seldom connects properly. our TV died after 5 months. Avoid this brand!

    I am very disappointed with the quality of this TV. It died the same day I bought it and had to take it back to the store next day for refund.

    The TV is limited to what I can do unless you have everything that is Vizio and even then it will drop it will buffer and it sucks

    Well our screen is half black and not working. Less than 8 months old and the TV is basically hatched. DO NOT BUY THIS TV.

    Let me preface by saying that the TV was worth every cent. It really is amazing and has a great display and sound quality. My roommate got a D-series and I was so impressed that I got this model, which I did not realize was a different model from the D-series at the time. The use of this "all inclusive" app that Vizio requires hinders the functionality of the TV. The original remote that had everything you needed in one remote and was already programmed with the proper apps and functions was amazing(See XRT-510 remote). This app is virtually worthless, since you can't set it up to use the apps that you frequently use with the smartcast feature (i.e. youtube, nexflix, hulu, etc). Besides the fact that the app is hit or miss whether it actually can control the TV or any of your other vizio devices (I have a difficult time getting it to properly control my Vizio soundbar), the app has no useful features that you didn't have with the original remote besides giving Vizio a platform to advertise a list of "on-demand" content. Once you figure this out you then realize that you have to ALSO download the "Googlecast" app just to play your content on the TV. So, once it is all said and done, you have to download a multitude of apps that used to be included in the TV to your smartphone. Why they separated these features OUT from the TV when it was perfectly functional before baffles me. This is a 5-star TV with a 1-star "remote" that drastically pulls from the overall product. I am sure Vizio had great intentions, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Or, at least allow for use of both methods of control.

      Thank you for your feedback. This is not a traditional smart TV with built in applications or an app store for the display. Instead, the built-in chromecast feature allows you to share content from apps stored on your smart phone or tablet. You can also cast directly from a computer using the chromecast extension in a Chrome Browser. This display also supports screen sharing with compatible devices. It is a transition from the typical Smart TV experience but offers significantly more than apps. VIZIO

This means that any VIZIO SmartCast™ device can be controlled using most smartphones and tablets. With SmartCast™ built into the display you now have access to hundreds of apps. Some VIZIO home theater displays no longer include connection for a coaxial cord. We do include a complimentary HDMI cable to provide a higher resolution image from your cable or satellite box. External tuners can be connected to an HDMI input to receive over-the-air broadcasts.     Good 4K Entry Leve HDTV

    I am pretty happy with my purchase. The smartcast is different and kinda cool as you need a smart phone to access it's "smart features." However, if you use a Amazon Firestick or Apple TV there really isn't a need to even use the smartcast. The Vizio is good entry level 4K TV. The sound is really not the greatest and was somewhat disappointing (really got to turn it up with a dishwasher going or constant background noise). The picture quality is great for streaming and the 4K is amazing if you have 4K content to view. I would suggest this TV with a sound-bar for someone looking to purchase and TV that is affordable and competes with other upscale 4K TVs.

    This TV has very good picture and color quality. It does not claim to be High Dynamic range. However, for the price you can’t beat it. I would get a low cost tablet for the living room and keep it set up as the cast remote. It is not 120 Khz refresh though the TV engineering handles movement well, again for the price. Up-scaling works reasonably for 1080p content. In 4k the image is noticeably better. Low res content is very evident particularly in the black regions.

    I purchased for the low price and wish I had spent a little bit more. I tried downloading the cast setup though my I-pad and had no luck whatsoever and then when i called in to support they informed me that I-pads were not compatible, I think this should have came with a warning.. Support then walked me though loading the app on my I-phone and was up and running. Picture is very good, I wish there were more setting options....very limited. Sound is not good at all.....maybe standard but am forced to use my sound bar which should be optional. Lack of a full size remote is no issue to me, it does the basics and you can use your app for more advanced needs. if price is your main concern I do recommend overall.

    This is a great television especially for the price. I have been wanting to upgrade to 4K and I don't regret it. A beautiful picture. Although this is not a smart tv you can cast your favorite apps to it. I really enjoy this TV.

    I had been searching for a while for a great TV. I had actually had a 55" a Philips I was renting to own that I wasn't 100 percent satisfied with. Plus to eliminate all those payments. Anyway, I have known many people with Vizio TVs that loved them. This one caught my eyes. With 4k coming around the bend, it is good to be prepared. I am still wowed by 1080p. I game and watch movies and shows that I stream. This was an excellent choice. Even for the price point. It was on sale. HOWEVER, it may not be for everyone. As time goes on, nearly everyone has a smartphone or tablet available at home. The remote that comes with it is very minimal. It does not come with a cable jack, but you can get an accessory. This being said, after turning the TV on you are asked to set up an app on your phone or tablet. You don't have to have WiFi. It broadcasts a signal in the event you don't have WiFi. This app allows you to do things a typical remote would do for the TV. You can change the volume, picture, inputs, etc. You don't have to download the smart apps onto the tv.. instead you can cast anything compatible on your smart device that will stream with Google Cast that is built it. Takes getting used to. However, it is something that is changing. I can understand the irritations at first. I cussed like a sailor setting the thing up for 45 minutes. Also I have a Vizio soundboard with subwoofer that it integrates well with. All in all, a very high 4 out of 5...maybe like a 4.7 or 4.8.

    This tv is great for the price. It has no antenna and only hdmi inputs. The smartcast threw me off in the beginning. But casting netflix or pandora, youtube and others from a mobile device is easy and does not eat up your mobile battery. Very happy with my purchase.

    Never had any problems in the 5 years since buying this TV . Ive always had great experiences with the Vizio brand and this was my best purchase so far. Had a 60 inch HD Vizio and unfortunately the Xbox kinect mounted on top of the tv fell and cracked the screen so after looking for a replacement I noticed 4K TVS were a lot more affordable so I grabbed this TV . Great picture, sound was ok but after adding a Vizio surround system it was like watching movies in a theater. Id highly recommend this TV to a friend or family member!
