    Amazing tv for what you pay...I've had 4 Vizio's and they never disappoint. Yes the remote is plain jane...but I never find myself watching the remote. You immediately see the upscale of everything. I put a sony studios bluray in and WOW. Absolutely gorgeous picture. Highly recommended for the price.

    The actual performance of this TV is great. I have zero complaints about the picture quality etc. The Smartcast app is absolutely terrible though. You can't adjust the TV settings through the remote so you are forced to use your smart phone which is alright and it works fine. The functionality of the app is completely broken unfortunately. It's like they fired the app from the hip thinking it was a great idea without actually testing it out. Trying to "reinvent the wheel" if you will. I would call this a lack of smart TV at best. I'm not sure yet if it's worth the trouble to return it, but I'm looking into it.

    Read reviews and was a little rattled by some of the difficulties described in getting everything up and running and apps downloaded. Planned on spending the evening hooking up everything and getting everything playing. Took all of an hour from opening the display,connecting bluray, satellite box, sound bar and downloading smart cast and a couple of apps to check the streaming. This is my third Vizio tv in my home and I am 100% satisfied in my decision with this purchase. Picture is fine, streaming works well. I even like the remote app. Got it downloaded to iPod.

    The TV is great with fantastic picture quality, it's a shame they ruined it with an awful app. Connecting the app to the TV is a terrible process that errors out more than it gets it right. It seems that if there is more than one wi-fi network within range of the TV (hope you don't have neighbors) the TV has trouble connecting. Netflix is rendered useless as a result of poorly created Smartcast. When you get lucky and it connects, it is nice but not convenient. Vizio's SmartCast is not good. Until they fix this issue and invest in a better app, buy a different TV.

    We are using the screens to run digital loops from our production company. The screen is clean and a good size for a living room or an office. The colors are true and the screen has clean lines. We don't typically run sound - it's more for display. A good buy for the purpose.

    I previously had a vizio 55 in 1080p smart tv. i got this tv in 2015. It was amazing, the smart apps were built right on to the remote or it was very easy to press one button to pull the others up... We recently moved and the movers broke our tv. We bought this one as a replacement thinking it would be the same... it isn't. the picture is fine but that is the end of it. This google smart cast is terrible, its impossible to navigate, you have to have all of the apps you want to use on your tv on your phone plus the stupid smart cast app. the actual remote is so basic you can't do any of the great things you could do with the old t.v. Do not get this TV if you want a smart TV ... get another brand.. apparently one of these tvs comes with a tablet remote.. i guess if you have to get one, get one that comes with that.... I wish my old tv never broke. i seriously hate this TV so much :( I would return it but I don't have a way to get it back to the store. This TV makes me so depressed every time I try and use it. VIZIO should go back to installing the apps on the TV . Do not waste your money, get a TV with Apps installed. Also, using the remote app, drains your battery on your phone a lot. If the person casting needs to leave during it, you cannot continue watching what you were watching... i cannot say enough bad things about this TV. don't get it, don't do it. I wish I could go back in time and not trust that a TV made by the same manufacturer only a year later would be the same that i knew and loved. Also, the 4k on this TV is unnoticeable.. it does not make it look any better to me. Save your money and use the extra it would cost for a 4k to just get a regular TV that is actually smart not a stupid TV that piggy backs off of your other electronics. I Do not like this TV at all. If your phone is dead, you can't use it as a smart TV. Basically this is just a giant computer monitor that needs help to do anything. I would not recommend this TV to anyone. Get something else.

    Poor Setup and Menu

    Could never setup correctly even after Visio tech support tried. Setup message stayed on the screen and never went away and keeps trying to get you to setup to a smart phone. Smart Sense software seems to have problems. Even reset TV several times. Visio offered new TV or repair. Even setup to smart phone didn't work. Way too complicated if you just want to watch movies or game. Picture is great but remote is tiny and cheap.

    3star? 1st .. im not happy with the remote. these remotes are for teenagers. lol since i am a senior . i wish you have a label on each buttons. 2nd. those delivery guyz left those HUGEEEEEEEEE boxes on our alley. garbage collector is about to give us a ticket, good thing my nephew is there to help those garbage man to load it to the truck. overall. the tv is good. clear pictures. only thing is. i get this tv hooked up to a logitect surround sound that doesnt have a remote. but have a knob. so when adjusting the volume.. i have to do it on the knob. what i mean is. hope i can control the volume tru the tv.

    App not available for I-pad

    Set up was easy once i figured out that you have to use I-phone instead of I-pad. I connected through WiFi with no problem. BlueTooth failed. If you have Direct TV, you need the older controller instead of the new one. The first code option worked. All TV functions can be done from DirecTV controller. I control my DVD from same controller. If connecting WII to composite hookup, yellow connects to green. I haven't figure out how to use the SMART stuff yet, supposedly you can live stream and youtube and netflix with the system, but I haven't figured that out yet.

    Disappointed Again

    My previous Vizio 55" croaked TWICE. Thankfully I had a service plan and they replaced it after waiting over a month. Now, with this recommended TV by the Geek Squad guy who handled my replacement, I don't have the feature of the APPS! I used Amazon a LOT and now I can't access it. I get Netflix streaming via my AppleTV, but very disappointed overall. The remote is lousy - you HAVE to use an app on your iPhone or smartphone to set up. Wish I had made a different choice.

    This tv was a great buy and after you realize what is that you bought I thought it was a great idea its almost like a simplified version of how we already watch tv features we no longer used aren't available and at first it was a what is going on but like anything after messing with it for about 30 minutes it was easy. the screen is fantastic. we have the amazon fire stick plugged in and the Xbox and cable. and al work wonderfully. it was weird not having a channel tuner which we didn't even realize it didn't have . but really we watch internet content more than anything and this tv has been great.

    Love this television. There isn't much to say about it besides the fact that it's the best darn picture quality I have ever had in a television. Regardless of where we sit in the living room, it's always got impeccable picture quality. Extremely happy I bought this. I know you'll regret it if you don't.

    I just bought this this last night - this is the 2nd Visio TV I purchased. We love the first one bought a year ago, so when shopping focused on Visio. Asked the sales man standard questions, and made clear that we wanted a smart TV that we (and our kids) can watch netflix, Amazon, etc. He assured us we could. Told us we can have additional control through our smartphone - sounded great. Get he unit home, only to find out the ONLY way to watch streaming is through a connected smart phone. So if you want to watch Netflix, you basically lose the use of your phone while watching. If you are watching the program with someone else and you have to leave, they have to connect to the TV with their device (if they have one) of the program stops. The cheap remote that comes with it only allows you to power on and off, change inputs, control volume and channels. Overall a very poor design and I am returning it this weekend.

      Thank you for your feedback. A few things to note is that you can cast from any smart phone, tablet or computer connected to the network. You do not need to pair to the TV to cast as long as the device is on the same network. VIZIO

    Overall a great TV. I got it on sale for $500 so it was definitely worth it. I do wish that the app for it was better as it plays from your phone and I would rather stream from my computer. You can stream from your computer by the way but only through chromecast which in itself is a subpar program. Also it doesn't have display ports only hdmi so I had to go buy an adapter to directly connect my computer. Overall definitely worth the purchase though if you want to directly connect through hdmi

    This is a great TV. The picture is amazing. Do your homework though. I bought this expecting a Google Chromecast to be built into the TV. That's not the case though. It's still a great television. I'd recommend getting a sound system with it.

    I was a bit unsure about a Smart TV that was cast only but my misgivings were unfounded. I enjoy the picture quality and versatility. Sound quality is even very good. my only issue is I cant cast Amazon TV, that is an AMAZON issue though

    This TV was the bomb until my so called friend accidentally hit her head on it ....... RIGHT?!?! She wasn't even tall enough to reach the corner of the TV because it was on the wall mount however I enjoyed it while it lased

    The Vizio setup was a bit of a challenge. I did not want to use my iPhone to setup the TV but there were no instructions on how to do this. Customer service was able to walk me thru this and in a couple minutes it was up and running. There was supposed to be an HDMI cable included but none included.

    As I read in reviews very simple remote which I think is fine also have installed on my I-phone, and since it's Wi-Fi you do not have to point at TV also built in Chrome cast is great and no extra wires
