Great Picture
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just got this TV a week ago and it has a beautiful picture. Hopefully it will last for many years. Had Best Buy deliver the TV, set it up and haul away the old TV. A great service at no extra charge. Even took a couple of my other old TVs at no extra charge.

BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this tv replaces a panasonic plasma i bought in 2009. i was very skeptical of the name vizio, so i read a ton of reviews and decided to go for it. best buy price matched the costco price of 1649.00 plus 24 months no interest! after adjusting some of the settings i can honestly say it hands down blows away my plasma picture. at 70 inches it is huge and the best tv i have had ever! great job vizio i'm glad i took the plunge.

Solid TV, Great Value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I spent a lot of time researching which 4k TV I wanted, and I kept coming back to the Vizio M series. I read so many great reviews on it that I decided to purchase one. I'm very glad I did. The picture rivals that of more expensive TV's while costing significantly less. I was also set on a 70" size, which isn't offered by many of the manufacturers. I would highly recommend this TV.

Best 4K for the $$
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Exchanged a 75" Samsung J6300 for this and couldn't be happier. I was on the fence about 4K. Satellite picture was horribly pixilated on HD J6300, it is very good on 4K Vizio, especially sports. My Oppo bluray looks amazing and features are good. There are better 4k sets (Samsung 7100, Sony 850C) but you'll have to spend 1200 to 2000 more. My only wish is I could have afforded the 75" one. I've always looked down on Vizio but not anymore. Only time will tell on durability.

Beautiful 4k
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great television. My dad and I had been looking at tv's for a couple of weeks. Reading reviews, spec details, and overall just learning the benefits of 4k. We went with the Vizio because we already had a product of there's and were very satisfied. This tv is spectacular, exceeded our expectations. We even sprung for the geek squad to install it, and they were knowledgeable and carefull. To sum it up, we did our homework, and were rewarded a great tv. I hope this will help the next guy.

Great Purchase
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV no more than 3 months ago, I was so excited I drove almost 2 hours to pick it up. Which turned out to be worth the drive. I read the reviews prior to purchasing the TV as well as afterwards to be able to give a more thorough review. The quality of the TV is great, it has many options that I didn't know smart TV's came with. The only down fall is that I cant figure out how to get my PS4 to play video games on it without it lagging. For those who had received a faulty product, as terrible as that sounds. That is what the extended warranty / insurance is for. If you cant afford an extra 400$ for insurance then you shouldn't be spending $2,500 anyway. The best $2,500 I've spent in a while, very satisfied. Not only am I able to find anything on Netflix / amazon prime but the TV itself catches all my kids attention. Because of it my house has gotten quieter ( Twin boys / 1 girl )

Great picture, great price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Colors are wonderful, local dimming means blacks are black. 4K looks great on YouTube native app. Upscaling of other content has been fine, no issues that I've noticed yet. Set powers on relatively quickly, and looks nice in the room. Tough to beat a 70" 4K display with local dimming.

Vizio for life!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I actually bought this from someone for $40 as it would power on, but no picture. I took it to a repair shop and got it fixed for less than $300. I connected it to my Fire TV Cube and sound runs through my Yamaha receiver. It has a fantastic picture and I'm more than satisfied with the performance of this TV despite it's age. I have a Vizio 60" 1080p set that this one is replacing. I loved that set as well. I love Vizio and as a price/quality leader, I'll continue to buy their TVs.

Vizio 70 inch created disappointment
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I was very excited to upgrade my tv. I had a 60 inch Sharp LED tv. I decided that I wanted to get a 4k tv and wanted to get something a little bigger. I decided to get the Vizio based off of price and saw some good reviews on the up scaling capability. Got the tv home and immediately hooked it up. Turned on the baseball game and was like what is wrong with this tv. It did not look very good at all. I spent the next few hours trying different picture settings. Looking up online what worked for others. I turned on the NBA finals game and it did not look good. My $300 Hisense tv that was in my room had a more crystal clear looking picture. My Sharp tv by far was better for watching games. I will say that the movies did look better. I could tell it looked up scaled and was pleased with that. I watch a lot of sports so sports need to have a quality picture. Needless to say I will be taking the tv back and I haven't decided if I will try another brand yet or not.

Average TV, Get what you pay for, 4K limited
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Background: Prior to buying the TV, I educated myself on whether a 4k TV was "worth it", and I had been educated from multiple sources that if I sat close enough to a large enough TV, 4k would be worth the price of admission. My family room is relatively narrow, so we sit pretty close to the TV. My old Sharp 60" LCD 120hz originally sat where this TV now sits and had a picture quality of about 7/10 from our close distance. I thought I was a prime candidate for an upgrade to 4k. I had also educated myself on 4k content and its lack of availability. Somehow I was mislead to thinking that 4k content is awesome, and that 1080i content up-scaled to 4k is better than 1080i. This was not the case. The 1080i up-scaled to 4k looked mediocre (5/10 rating, worse than my 5 year old Sharp but granted on a 10" bigger canvas). It was bad enough that I ran out and bought new HDMI cables despite having also read articles stating that you don't need new HDMI cables for a 4k TV. The article was obviously correct and my HDMI cables did nothing for the picture quality. With a bit more research on this particular model, I read through another source that USB port 5 (which is the only port that supports 4k and 4k upscaling) is not a good port to use for watching 1080i. So now, I switch my HDMI cable to USB port 4 and the picture improves significantly (7/10 rating). While this helped, I had to read approximately 20 articles in order to figure out how to get this TV set up as best as possible, and it still clocks in at roughly the same picture quality as my 5-year-old 60" Sharp LCD. *My recommendation is that you should not buy this 4k TV unless you have loads of 4k content. I say loads because if you aren't watching 4k, you will actually be better off switching from HDMI port 5 to a different port for better 1080 viewing. Not ideal. Looking back on this purchase, I would have opted for a non-4k TV with a higher class brand at 1080 capabilities only (I believe $1500 for the Samsung version). Who wants to be manually switching the HDMI port every time they switch from 4k to non-4k? So I ended up with the same picture quality as my old TV but on a 10" larger screen. TV is 4k compatible if I want to manually change the HDMI import slot meaning I will probably never watch 4k. I would return this item but it is too large and not worth the hassle of dis-assembly, transportation, etc. I've considered this purchase a "loss" and can only hope that I learn from my mistakes. The major takeaway I got from this $1,800 experiment is to not trust new technology until it is mainstream and proven. The test of time is always most reliable and had I looked at that, I would have bought a 1080p Television. I gave this 2 stars instead of 1 because the TV's speakers sucked (knew this before buying), forcing me to get a soundbar for it. I love the LG soundbar but sadly, at $130 vs. $1800, it was the best part of this experience.

Great TV for the money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.read some reviews before purchase and they were right. Did spend the extra money to get TV calibrated and it is worth it. went up to the 70 inch from a 65 with is not a lot of difference but we like it.

Great TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really like this TV. Was pretty easy to mount on the wall (mount not included). The picture is great. I did end up buying a sound bar after about 2 weeks to get a bit better sound. The sound from the TV speakers just didn't do the TV justice. I'm still trying to figure out the best settings for watching sports but everything else looks great .

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this is a no frills 4k tv. my parents didn't want 3d or anything fancy. they just wanted a great picture. i almost got them a oled LG but the price was still pretty high for their 1080p tv. this tv has a great picture and a smooth interface. again, nothing fancy with options but a great picture.

Good value for large tv
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The tv has a great picture but you definitely need an external sound system. The tv is very light and was easy to operate. The refresh speed could be a little faster. It's is supposed to be higher than normal but there appears to be lag time in fast sporting events creating a lack of clarity. Overall, for the price it was a great buy.
