Customers are saying

Customers highly value the picture quality, ease of use, and 4K capabilities of the 70" Class (69.5" Diag.) - LED - 2160p - Smart - 4K Ultra HD TV. Many also appreciate the attractive price point and vibrant colors. While some minor issues with motion blur and screen functionality were reported, these were infrequent. Dissapointed, do not buy vizio!

Bought the vizio m70 based on reviews and size of the tv. After a week I returned it for a Samsung js8500 65 inch. The vizio picture was awful. Blurry. Terrible for watching sports and every 15 seconds there would be a hitch in the sound. I tried every setting. Bought top of the line optic cables. Tried different settings. Adjusted the picture. This tv quality picture and sound is unacceptable. The Samsung is fantastic. Picture is beautiful. Sound is amazing when hooked to the Bose cinemate 15. No hitch in sound. Best picture. I picked up the js8500 65 inch for 1999$. Well worth it, and very happy. Best Buy swapped the tv with no hassle. Alan from Glendale heights Best Buy was very helpful. Great customer service and recommendations regarding the Samsung. Pay a little extra and go with Samsung. You will be glad you did. I hear about Samsung panel lotteries but this picture is the best I have ever seen.

    Vizio - Never Again

Vizio has permanently lost my business. I created a service request for a replacement for an M70-C3. The TV died after two months of ownership and they're replacing it with a refurbished TV of the same model. Refurbished = thanks for nothing. Should have bought Best Buy's warranty. They also gloriously failed on their more than generous delivery timeline of 5-10 business days through some fly-by-night shipping company out of Miami. 10 business days? What can't happen in two weeks? They will fall four full days late of that, still without a TV. This was my first and last Vizio product. Their company and products are awful. "75 Inches of stunning clarity." Baloney. Here is the slogan for my TV: "70 inches of stunning, heavy, black nothingness". Right now it is a piece of terrible artwork hanging between my speakers. I call it "No College Football for you."

This TV looks great mounted on the wall and has a really good picture. If you can get it on sale, it really is a great deal, to me it is comparable to the more expensive Sony and Samsung.

    Great TV for the money

Overall, a pretty good TV. The out of box experience isn't the best and does require some tweaking of the settings. Additionally, if you plan on playing video games on this thing...change it to game mode. The picture processing under normal mode causes some definite lag. The picture quality is good once adjusted and 1080p content looks pretty nice. Can't wait for more 4k content (4k bluray, I'm looking at you).

    do not buy this tv

I don't normally write reviews but I thought it necessary in this instance. I purchased this tv in August 2015. Everything was working fine until December. Then the video and audio would go off for about 8 - 10 seconds. After a couple of weeks, it started getting worse. The video and audio kept going off and on until the video came back but no audio. That's when I called the Geek Squad. They checked the tv and said they needed to replace the main circuit board. They ordered the board and two weeks later it showed up at my door. The geek squad came to my house and replaced the board. That seemed to fix the problem until the next day when I turned on the tv. No audio, no arc and no cec. I called the geek squad. They made a return trip and decided to replace the circuit board again. One month later the repair kit arrived at my door. The geek squad came out and replaced all the circuit boards in the tv. Same problem. No audio, no arc and no cec. They offered to replace the circuit boards again or replace the tv. I chose to replace the tv. I replace it with a Sony xbr 65". I couldn't be happier. No more Vizio for me.

Pay the $250 for the Geek Squad or Else

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I really researched all the reviews before buying this television. I truly wanted the OLED, but couldn't see paying $5,000 for last year's truly greatest TV. I rationalized that for $1,899, I would wait until the new crop of OLED's came out and hopefully the price would come down and I could make this my second TV. My mistake was that I scrimped too much. I didn't pay the $250 to have this set calibrated by the Geek Squad. Don't make my mistake. Fork over the money. The picture is horrible!!! I've tried all the settings. I've tried the CNET recommended settings and others for calibration. The picture is unwatchable. It's muddy, cloudy and murky. I gave up a non-4K Samsung for this? Vizio's factory settings don't work either. The picture is dull and listless. The faces are either too red or without color. I really did believe the CNET review that said the Vizio M-Series picture was virtually comparable to others. It isn't close. Not in the same zip code. I should have bought the 65 inch Samsung that came with the Geek Squad calibration. My bad.

MY BOSS AND I BOTH BOUGHT THIS TV 14 MONTHS AGO. 2 WEEKS AGO HIS SCREEN WENT OUT. NOW MINE HAS THE SAME PROBLEM. TOOK IT TO TV REPAIR SHOP AND THEY SAID THE PANEL IS BURNED OUT. I CALLED VISIO AND THEY SAID THE WARRANTY IS 12 MONTHS. I WILL NEVER BUY A PRODUCT FROM THAT COMPANY OR MANUFACTURER AGAIN.

My husband bought this for me as a surprise. After only a few hours of watching it I told him to send it back. The sound was terrible and if you got 5 feet to the screen the picture was not the best quality. I felt terrible telling him that but I'm a TV junkie and he got this on sale. Exchanged it for a Sony X900B Premium 4K Ultra.

    Vizio Brand TV's Don't Last

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

1 1/2 years ago I paid $3,500 for one of the top of the line Vizio 70" LCD Smart TV's. TV had been working fine. Not great, their software had some problems, but the picture was not bad, then just the other day turned I it on and the entire left side of the screen went black. Now that it's out of warranty, Vizio service support informed me after looking at the pictures that there is nothing they can do. The screen replacement cost more then the TV. I will not recommend anyone buying a Vizio TV. Sure, if ya just need a small 32" TV for the kids room, they are pry the best option, but if your gonna invest in a entertainment room television do yourself a favor and buy the name brands that you can rely on.

Well I went with you guys reviews and I don't know what exactly all you people are amazed by on this tv. I came from a 60 inch sharp aquos quatrom tec. 240hz 10080p and honestly my old tv had better colors. Better picture quality. The only decent thing on this TV is the sound. Picture quality is a joke. Noway to adjust to come close to my old tv. That's sadddddd. Cable looks super bad. Netflex looks okkkkk. Bluray movies okkkk. Well good luck to all. Hope no one buys this TV unless your blind or not really care at all about picture quality.

Right out of the box the TV setup easily. Then after a power cycle the images and text were blurry or distorted and unreadable, almost like it was doubled up Had to factory reset to clear but left thinking better to return it. Vizio technical support unable to provide an explanation.

Soap Opera effect in the picture!

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Read a review elsewhere about a Soap Opera effect that can not be turned off on this TV but I purchased it anyway. When watching it, it definitely look like a cheap soap opera no matter what you watch. There is no way to turn this off either! It seems that some 1080 broadcasts look fine but we were watching The Sopranos on NetFlix and it was not a good experience for me. I plan to return this TV and exchange it for a different brand.
