Installation was easy. No need to worry about breaking your ps5 if thats what you are using this for. The cover comes off easy enough and this unit pops right in with a satisfying *click.* Heat-sync is built in and moved over 600GB of games in 6 minutes with no over heating problems since i installed the unit. I am very impressed, all my games run smoothly and all my saves are intact. A+ Western Digital.

I had bought a 2tb samsung 980 pro when it first released in 2021 and paid $400. Almost filled up the space with ps4 collection alone. Then this one came out and shelled out another $500 for this 4TB ssd. I love that this one comes witha a heatsink and is faster and twice the storage! :) pricey but worth it imo.

Needed more storage for PS5 games upgraded to 4tb. Works great no lag can download vs Steaming for better play. Happy with product

Installed really easy once I got the cover off my PS5 and has worked flawlessly since. Set my PS5 so that this is now the default hard drive and I have been very pleased with it. Plenty of room for games and so on with no worries about running out of space anymore. No overheating problems yet that I've read about. Well worth the price and I got mine price matched so it was a really great deal.

You’re paying a serious premium over WD’s own SN850X, which uses essentially the same internals without the PlayStation logo. If you’re comfortable sourcing your own PS5-compatible heatsink, you can get nearly identical performance for noticeably less. As it stands, you’re paying extra purely for the badge and the plug-and-play convenience. If you want zero-hassle, officially licensed storage and don’t mind the markup, this drive delivers. But keep an eye out for sales — it’s a much easier recommendation at a discount than at full price.

With so many large data games adding SSD memory is a must. The WD Black 4tb was the perfect companion and very easy to install/format and access within the PS5 menu. It’s fast and games play smoothly from the card. Made my PS5 a 5tb system and paired with a 5tb WB Black external my system runs with 10tb of storage. More than enough for any games you may want to play. Highly recommend and I stand behind the product

It's great! It freed up a bunch of space and I can download a ton of games. I just move them to the internal ssd and it plays all the games without the ps5 skipping a beat! Anyone with kids knows how fast you can run out of memory and with this thing they haven't made a dent! It's really easy to install and with the financing, I can't even feel it in my pockets!

Okay, initially I thought that it was going to be hard to install this memory card but after some time it was easily installed and saving all my games and stuff. It is pricey, but if ya a serious gamer...GET IT!!

Great internal storage for PlayStation but isn’t really compatible with anything else.

Works great and is very easy to install the only down fall is the price since you're basically buying another console but to be fair it's going to take a long time to fill up 4TB. Strongly recommend especially when there on sale.

I'm extremely pleased with the efficacy of the WD-Black SN850P 4TB Internal SSD PCIe Gen 4 x4 with Heatsink that I recently purchased from Best Buy for my PS5. The installation procedure to replace my previous internal storage was uncomplicated. The possibility of data loss during the upgrade was one of my primary concerns, but I did not encounter any complications in this regard. The transmission of roughly 300 GB of data occurred without incident and with good efficiency. I haven't experienced any issues with overheating due to the inclusion of the heatsink. Regarding performance, this SSD has surpassed my expectations. Notably quicker load times and a substantial improvement in the overall performance of my PS5 have been observed. I have no concerns and highly recommend the WD-BLACK SN850P for anyone looking to increase their internal PS5 storage.

Bought this for my PS5 and very happy with the decision. The 4TB option was definitely on the expensive side, but worth it for the added storage. Installation was very easy, and formatting was a breeze. I loaded some games onto the drive and they perform flawlessly. Definitely recommend for gaming.

How can so much data memory fit into such a small device? Installation of this hardware is super simple. One will need strong finger grips, a bigger-than-glasses, but smaller-than-roof-screws sized Philip driver. In order to minimize broken tabs, be cognizant of the direction of plastic tabs on the PS5 cover. Installation is simple but make sure the “click” is heard once it’s set into place. A quick format, initiated automatically, by the PS will take care of the rest. Been a few months and had zero lag or read issues. I remember the days PS game saves were measure in “blocks”. Weve come so far, but so little has changed.

Does what it says on the box, and quite well. Installation was incredibly easy, and basically works on the plug-n-play concept. One quick format and it’s ready to roll. No heat issues, no performance issues, it works like a charm. A bit on the pricy side (though sales do help that part sting less), but an absolute must for any PS5 user.

If you’re a gamer like I am and love games but don’t have the space not to fret this was one of the best if not the best space savers I will ever have I love this ssd and its easy to install! Highly recommend
