I bought this to resurrect a 12 year old Dell Inspiron that had been off for a year or two. When powered on, the Dell's drive behaved like the controlling electronics were bad. I picked this drive after shopping for several days. It was delivered overnight, installed easily and works perfectly.

Old hard drive was running very slow and developed intermediate errors. Installed this drive without any problems and it works great.

It was replacement for my father in law because his HDD was died after power outage. Installation went smooth and HDD was ready for new OS installation fast. They also provide 4 screws in box. After couple months of use no complains. I hope that will last long.overall good HDD.

Been using Western Digital since the 1980's. This is a good drive. Not a speed demon but it's quiet and no bad blocks. I use an SSD drive to boot from and this is used for storage.

This hard drive married perfectly into my mom's DVR setup. Booted with no issues and functions flawlessly for what we use it for. Definitely better than a budget hard drive.

I needed a new hard drive for my computer after the last one crashed and burned so I bought this one and it works very well and was easy to set up.

Overall is very quiet, we get this in order to have a back up for family pictures, so far so good, great transfer speed and realiable also was the cheaper drive they have.

Had an older windows 7 based computer needed to upgrade to windows 10 Existing drive was a 1 TB so off to best buy to purchase a drive to work with for a sunday afternoon project It worked to duplicate, and was able to upgrade the op system Process completed with no issues.... after verifying no data loss from upgrade --- later moved to SSD So this drive was repurposed as a data drive for a video surveillance system No issues will update if any changes

I found this to be a great hard disk fo my custom-build PC. It performs very well and has had no technical issues. The price was very competitive too

It's a hard drive, it works, price was right - I've bought and owned several of these in the last few years, and will keep doing so, highly recommend.

Had a small drive and needed more space. Good performance as I had a lot of home videos I took from old cameras. Worked perfect!

Much cheaper than the Black series with the exact performance minus a few Fail safe features. Having a few of these running my Games on! thanks WD!

My Hard Drive just crashed and I had to replace it with a new one. So I got the WD Mainstream 1TB internal HD and its just works like a smooth machine. I have the speed, and the capacity to store tons of pics and videos on my hard drive now. Great value for money!

My HP computer hard drive crashed, and I needed a new hard drive. I prefer Western Digital drive to the Seagate drive originally in my computer. My Seagate hard drive did not last 2 years. I worked on computers for a local school district and the technology coordinator always wanted to use Western Digital due to better reliability. I had a backup of the original system configuration on a jump drive, data backups, and the CD's to install the additional software that was on the crashed drive. I also updated Windows 8 to 8.1 as the crashed drive had been. Installation was very straightforward with the new hard drve.

Installing the hard drive was simple and my system's bios picked it up right away. A few months in and not a single issue.

Was easy to install. This is not my first drive of this kind and they work great. They hold a lot and I prefer them over larger drives who it seems tend to crash a lot.
