I popped this into my Dell Optiplex 990, installed 32 bit Windows 7 and it works like a charm. No complaints so far and it solved my crashing problem.

great value for desktop use and installs easily to assemble a powerful desktop computing tool at a reasonable cost.

WD drive is typically a good drive and this one works just fine. Speed is good and value for price was great. If you need to replace a hard drive this was worth it.

I bought this to be supplemental disk space for my SSD. This is a great drive: quiet, quick, and affordable. This is definitely something to add to your list if you are looking for another hard drive to put in your build.

Got this to replace a failed factory installed HDD, great speed and size. easy to install for even a novice, just plug in and you ready to go.

So far no problems with the hard drive. It seems to be functioning just great and perhaps a bit faster than my old one.

This HD is quiet and quicker than the aging hd it replaced. The included cloning software worked without incident.

This is a good size (1 TB) for the money. Worked fine the first time. Based on other WD hard drives I have, it should last me a very long time.

Western Digital makes great, sturdy, reliable hard drives. This is no exception; can't go wrong. 1 TB will be ample storage more the majority of needs.

Recently in stalled dive after the last one crashed after 6 years. To this date, approx. 1 month ago ,it has performed without a glitch, smoothly and very quietly.

I bought this drive as a replacement for a 1.5T Seagate SATA drive that bricked on me. I was doubtful about buying a WD drive because of past experience, but I could not pass up the price. I saw a significant increase in overall performance from my old drive. Windows 7 booted (including password entry) in less than a minute. previous boot times exceeded 3 minutes. Browser pages seemed to update rapidly as well. My current suite of apps is not as bloated as before, so that could have had some impact. Considering the price/performace value I have experienced, I would readily buy this drive again.

Perfect HDD for those larger files. Quick downloads and will continue to use WD in the future!
