    The hard drive in my old PC lasted 7 years before it crashed. I had to get an entirely new computer 2 years ago and then the NEW hard drive just crashed. Let's see if this one lasts more than 2 years.

    I have only had it for a short time. Not enough to give an accurate review. What I can say is that hard drives, in general, last about as long as their warranties. The one that came with my iMac lasted about 5 years. I then put in a Seagate which lasted as long as it's two year warranty. I believe this hard drive has a two or three year warranty. Well see what happens in two years.

    I bought this to replace 2 older drives that seem ready to fail. The quick data writing allowed me to consolidate over 500gb of media files into this faster than i thought. I plan on buying another when i build my next computer

    Neighbors iMac HDD Failed. Uninstalled failed drive, installed this WD HD, reinstalled MAC OS and all was well - except for fan temp sensor. Purchased a used LCD temp sensor purchased from ebay and stuck it on the outside of the HDD..
