    All Hard Drives have a high failure rate. I buy hundreds of drives a year and WD is one of the most stable and long lasting, the returns process is easier than others and the speed is normal. SSD is the way to go but if a drive like this fails, the data can be recovered.

    Well it's a hard drive. Works for a few years then eventually dies. Just like the one it's replacing. But, what's interesting is the drive it's replacing was also a western digital 120GB that lasted around 10 years!

    had to replace the hard drive on my desk top... the geeks checked it out, backed it up gave me a new virus protection and returned it in 4 days… I was very happy...good job!!!!
