    These desktop blue drives fail all the time. My it guy says they never use the western digital drives any more because of hard failures. He says they just fail. Western digital does not respond to our or my IT firms request for warranty service. I have lost well over 35+ western digital drives in the past two years that all were inside warranty. Only about 6 have been replaced under warranty but it was like pulling teeth and took 2-4 months! Not worth saving 10 bucks for the hassle and loosing your data

    This was purchased to replace one that quit. The old one had windows 8.1. The new one has windows 8.1. my old games played on the old hard drive. they will not even in compatibility mode work on the new hard drive. I am frustrated. I am out of step with time but I like the old XP games. I had no real choice but to purchase.

    Had this drive for over a year and have had NO issues with it. The drive is 7200 RPM but quiet. Good buy for the price.

    I just got my computer back from Geek Squad, and now it doesn't read any wifi networks when I try to connect to the wifi, This also wasn't an issue before my computer went into Geek Squad's repair. pd.$200, and then they didn't give my power cord back had to buy new one....SMH

    When my computer crashed I took it into Geek Sqaud, they recommended a new hard drive and Ram. They repaired my computer but it ran too slow for my work. I ended up buying a new computer and this hard drive will be installed in an in closure to become my back up system.
