So these drives have not had enough run time to really know how they stack up. They are used stricly for data storage and not primary drives. Being WD drives I have some faith in them considering they share a motherboard with one of there grandparents (another WD drive that's been churning for 10 years), that's prehistoric in HDD years.

This hard drive performs very well! Its super quiet! I will recommended if your desktop is close to you or if you wanna use it as external!

After years of giving errors at startup, my old hard drive finally died for good. Purchasing this internal HD was a very inexpensive alternative to buying a new PC. It was easy to replace and easy to install Windows 10 without buying a new license since I had not replaced the motherboard.

Bought this for a client whose HDD failed. This drive was twice the size of what she had, which was another bonus. Quiet, fast response.

Western Digital stands for quality at a good price. I have three of these hard drives in various computers in my home. All of them of varying age. They are extremely reliable. And at less that a dollar a GB, you can't go wrong! The negative...I guess it's not an SSD...so it's slow compared to one. But I can't really call that a fault since it's not an SSD drive.

Popped this into my PC, turned it on and it was up and running as soon as I formatted it. WD is a leader in the HD space and the Blue model was the balance of speed for the price I needed.

I've been using WD hard drives for over 7 years. Always work great, I do computer repiars and use these 99% of the time. These hardly ever go bad, in case they do they have a 2 year warranty that you can do yourself from theyre website and they send a replaceemnt drive out in a few weeks.

I asked the Geek squad to install a WD drive as drive as they were repairing my PC and they offered this WD drive. I have been using it for several weeks now and it is fast and seems to be of the normal high quality I find WD drives. I am very pleased with the work the Geek Squad performed and the quality of the drive they used.

I had ten 'internal' disks this is the eleventh. I use them with a couple of ThermalTake Duo Docks. Saves me a fair amount of real estate on my desk as well as not needing to have a large book sized case and 110VAC outlet to plug each one of them them into. I can run four disks and use two USB ports and 2 110VAC outlets.

Nice solid 7200rpm 1tb drive. Installation is a snap. It's a great basic hard drive for desktops - not suitable for surveillance or NAS applications but perfect to replace a dead or dying drive in a desktop or to add additional storage either internally if you have the space or externally if you have a chasis.
