Replaced a failing hard drive by another brand name with this WD. I am a retired IT professional and have always felt WD made the most dependable drives. No issues with the installation and re-installment of Windows 10.

Now that its working it's just as good as any other hard drive that I've owned. I've had many WDs in the past and I was replacing a 320 MB WD hard drive with this 1 TB drive but this is the first time the computer would not find new hardware. It did not recognize it. Had me scratching my head for awhile until I Googled the problem and got a solution. Ended up in disk management and had to give the drive a drive letter and tell the computer what was there. Works fine now.

Told the gentleman at Geek Squad what I needed and he showed me my options, recommended which he thought would best serve my needs. Works well. I was repairing my computer my self and I am no Techi. He told me that it was something I could easily do and would get a great sense of accomplishment. He was right!

Good replacement terabyte hard drive. Quiet and fast.

Bought this for our new computer to clone the drive and put it in storage in case the hard drive ever dies. The prices are so low that it's affordable now. Just remember to back up your data like pictures & documents on a regular basis.

For storage purposes i only trust WD. Their products are upto mark considering low prices. You can get cheap products out there but cant guarantee how long its gonna last. I had kingston hdd it broke down all of sudden.

Just your typical sata 1TB hard drive. Easy to install. Wish it came with a sata cable.

Because I am really totally computer illiterate, I really don't know anything about hard drives or what makes them tick, but the Geek Squad installed this one in my computer, and so far so good. I haven't had any problems with it. And if I do, I know the Geek Squad will take good care of it.

Had the G.S. install for me, did a great job. Works flawlessly. Oh and even recognized that I had got one for a lap top not a pc and made the correction, painless and on time! Norman OK. these guys and girls are on point.

I needed a new hard drive for a client of mine. Since it was an older iMac, I needed to purchase the exact same brand of HD as the original. I was able to swing by my local Best Buy and pick this drive up. I had no problems with installation or configuration, and the machine has been running great since!

My home security DVR wasn’t working on my app, my friend told me this was the problem. He replaced it and boom! Everything perfect again! It’s ultra quiet. My last hard drive kept the box warm. Now it’s cool to the touch. Definitely recommend.

Not a bad HDD for the price. The installation was a breeze and I there have been no operation errors thus far.

When I had to buy a new hard drive for a PC where the old drive failed, I didn't have to think twice: Western Digital. I've never seen any performance issues from Western Digital drives. That's why I recommend this product. Hopefully, you'll have the same feelings as I do.

Even though the spin rate is the low 5200 RPM, I think it performs well. Never a hiccup in the time I have had it. As someone in the I.T. World the best Tech is the Tech you never have to pay attention to.

I replaced 2 older 500 GB hard drives in the same tower with 2 new 1TB hard drives. I cloned both drives before replacement. The new drives work fine. The reason I have 2 hard drives in the tower is the second drive is a complete back up in the event the first drive fails. It is nice to have plenty of storage.

Our desktop kept crashing. I was ready to say goodbye, when as a last ditch effort I asked the guys at Best Buy what could be wrong. They suggested that the problem was a bad hard drive. They also suggested this product. I am NOT a computer hardware person, but this was ridiculously easy to install. Problem solved!
