Bought to replace a failed drive in my daughter's computer. Nothing flashy, but all three booted into RAID 5 config without any issue, and installed Windows without a hitch.

This is a reliable and affordable hard drive. 1 TB was perfect as a replacement for upgrading the operating system on my desktop computer.

Western Digital makes the most reliable standard drives that I have used. I always use and recommend these drives when price and reliability are important. I have gotten more than 6 years of life from these drives.

Between this drive and the included imaging software, I was able to resuscitate my 8 year old Dell desktop with a bad HD for cheap money. Been working flawlessly for over a month. Very happy with it; my old system is working again!

If you are getting an older HD, make sure it’s 7200rpm. The 5400 are not as fast. Obviously a SSD is better these days but these make great backup drives. I always have trusted Seagate and Wester Digitial for HD’s.

The hard drive that came with my desk top computer stopped working so I decided to buy this 1TB hard drive to replace the other and it works perfect. It gives me a good amount of space and it runs fast and its not that expensive.

WD quality as expected good access speeds for a HDD and 64MB cache make it a good performing drive. Newvr had issues with WD drives in years of using/installing them cannot say the same for other manufacturers that I have dealt with.

Although it's not a caviar black, it serves it's pupose. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a midrange hard drive. Easy to set up. Acronis software is a plus(it's not a complete package, however. It's just the basic but enough for common needs).

A great drive for the price and I have noticed it is a very quiet drive as well.

Can't say too much about this internal SATA hard drive other than I hope it doesn't fail prematurely. Western Digital drives apparently have a decent reliability rating. Needed a replacement internal hard drive for a desktop computer right away, and by purchasing it at store, I over paid because a cheaper online purchase would have taken a few extra days, which I didn't have.

I was told by a knowledgeable friend that problems I was having with my computer could be my hard drive getting ready to go out. He recommended this product which I got installed and it has made a difference in my computer.

Bought this drive to replace the one in our security DVR. The old drive had died and this one is so much faster. We will see how well it holds up to the rigors of being in a security system.

Western Digital stands behind their products and their products endure for the long run. This hard drive replaced my last non Western Digital hard drive which was newer than most of my Western Digitals. Data is priceless, I trust mine to Western DIgital!

Looked up the information online for this harddrive. There are so many choices. It did come down to this, I have used Western Digital for quite some time. Very reliable and this is the same. It was on sale and in just the right price range.

Much faster than my old hard drive. Took a couple of hours to clone the old drive but most of that time was spent letting it do the work by itself. Go ahead and buy this and speed up your computer.

My hard drive was failing. Took my computer to a Best Buy and the Geek Squad replaced it and transferred my data from my old drive to my new one. It was done and ready before their projected completion time. Works great!

It does as a hard drive should, it reads and writes files. As a matter of fact, it stores more files even better than my traditional 4-drawer filing cabinet, and does so at an amazing speed of 7200 RPM!! WOW! Who could ask for anything more!?!?

I am extremely pleased to be able to buy hardware on short notice to replace failed parts at a reasonable price. This hard drive worked perfectly fine in place of the old one.
