I love Western Digital, their products work great and rarely fail. I helped a friend out who's drive died and this one was priced right and works great. There are faster and higher end drives out there but for what I needed this worked great.

This is a mainstream hard drive comparable to Seagate and HGST. Any of these would be a good selection for a home PC. I can't say that any one of these would be better that the other within price ranges. Keep in mind that there are several choices within the size ranges. Red, Blue, Black and Gold. These have recommended uses and warranties vary by choice.

I buy several hard drives every month and prefer to use WD drives. They are reliable and the performance is great. I have had a few start to fail before the 3 year mark but we're under warranty and WD took care of it with a larger free replacement.

I bought this as a replacement in an older computer. I pulled out 250 gig and put in 1TB at half the weight. Unbelievable, storage is getting so inexpensive. The drive installed perfectly, formatted, and has run flawlessly.

Decent speeds, and great price. Used as an add-on drive to store all of my large data files, like movies, pictures, music, etc. Freed up the space on the Nvme and SSD for games and OS.

This drive has only been in service for a couple of months so far, but so far it is performing well. It is being used in a NAS drive and it’s predecessor, also a WD drive ran continuously for about 8 years

I bought this as to replace a similar Seagate drive that came standard in my Dell desktop computer. I was looking for the black edition and would have bought that instead but the local best buy only had this one in stock. It works fine so far for the past 2 months. I have several external Western Digital drives and can definitely vouch for their brand quality and reliability.

I got this hard drive to add into my Drobo (NAS). It has been running well since I purchased it and I haven't had any drive errors. I trust WD over other hard drive companies, especially for long-term use.

I purchased this HD to replace a broken hard drive. I installed this hard drive in an All in One PC and loaded WIN 10 in it and it works great. The computer is very stable and running great even after all the updates.

This is a good solid piece of equipment. If you are looking for a huge drive this is not it but if you are looking for solid performing reliable hard drive this product is a good choice with a good return for the cost.

Solid and easy to install, word perfectly on my security system

I checked the pricing with 2 on line sellers and Best Buy had the lowest price. I knew if I had a problem with the HD I could return it without a problem. As it turns out, the HD worked perfectly and we had no problem.

Used it to replace an old drive that was starting to fail Installation kit came with just the screws as expected. So far after a clean Windows install the drive is performing great and generating less heat than the original drive.

Great hard drive for desktops, if you don't need the speed for a SSD, and are on a budget. We've used these for a number of PCs in the office with little problem.
