Drive is easy to install, fast and reliable so far. Met my expectations for a reasonable price.

I bought this drive in the store to replace a Seagate that died in my computer. I had intended on getting the high performance enterprise drive but they didn't have any in stores so I got the economy model instead because I needed the system back up and running that day. I've had no issues with this drive. For my uses it's fast and responsive. Has plenty of space for me for the moment. Would definitely buy again.

This wasn't too expensive and it was really easy to install. Works great!

The business for which I work has a few components and software that only work on Windows XP. The original hard drive in one of these machines finally died, so I purchased the 1TB WD Mainstream drive to replace it. Windows XP installed without issue on the drive and the machine is now functioning as expected. I believe this drive to be perfect for any desktop users needs.

My wife's desktop became erratic and was beyond the ability of the various software programs to affect a repair. I bought this drive, which was a size upgrade from her defective one, and installed it into her desktop. Installation was simple and her computer is back on line and sporting the Windows 10 operating system now rather than Vista which it had before. The drive is silent and fast.

I have bought PCs in the past as well as built my own. Those that come with other brand HDDs usually go out in a few years. I only buy WD now because they are reliable. I have purchased several 500GB and a few 1TB and even a 3TB. They are always fast and sturdy. Even when accidentally dropped, the disks tend not to break. I would recommend this brand to anyone looking for a hard drive for any reason.

The WD Blue PC Hard Drive was specifically recommended by the tech in" apple certified" computer repair store I went for my 10-year old iMac desktop. Tech replaced original internal HD with the WD Blue. The 4-star rating is my trust in WD products. I also purchased a WD external USB 3 drive for same "old" computer to save all photos, videos just in case.. ( Unfortunately, the tech's work would receive 1 star for of creating other problems during the installation of the WD internal drive and denying his responsibility.)

I bought this inexpensive WD 1TB drive to replace a 160GB drive in my HP desktop. The drive was easy to connect and the software I downloaded copied the OS and all data seamlessly. In a few hours the new drive booted up like the original and was running with lots of extra space. No issues whatsoever. I would buy again.

Replaced a two year old failed Seagate 1TB hard drive with this Western Digital SATA drive. Continues to perform well and was easy to install. I have had good service from WD hard drives in the past. I use this drive as my primary data drive on my desktop computer. Works great.

I had to replace my C drive in my desktop. I used a solid state for that but got this drive to throw in as a D for storage. I really do not save much data on this computer. Its main job is to run my security system. I put this drive in because everything was apart and it was a good time to do it. I have been using it for about 2 months and it has been working great. No issue.

Purchased this 1TB Western Digital sATA HD to replace original 500 GB HD in my 5 year old desktop PC. With the help of the free Acronis download was able to image my Win 10 system with no problems other than having to download an additional HD partition utility in order to maximize the useable partition for my System partition.

Hard drive in clients older Win 7 computer bit the dust. We decided to give Linux Mint a try paired with this hard drive. Installation was a breeze and performance is excellent. Fast boots, quick program opening and plenty of storage space.Would also make an excellent data storage device when utilizing an ssd for the operating system.
