I needed a Sata Hard Drive for a computer I was building and I went to my local BestBuy store and found a 1 TB Drive at a Great price.

Quality of this drive is awesome, I do use this drive for NVR suveillance system and is holding up strong.Price is good for the size

I've been installing the WD 3.5-inch HD's in Apple iMacs and they work great! No problem with the thermal sensors.

Original hard drive failed( wouldn't boot). Unplugged it, put this one in. After loading the operating system, works like a charm.

Excellent. RAID 0 gives excellent write speeds even for the blue drives. These are well known for business applications!!

Purchased 2 of these for upgrading my 2 desktops. Have always had good luck with WD products. Hope the quality continues. Time will tell.

This is a replacement for my previous hard drive that failed. So far it is working well and quickly.

My old drive that I stored movies & pictures on went down, so this drive was used to replaced it, easy to install no problems at all.

Grateful to find a well-priced and well-regarded replacement part so close to home. I was up and running again within 24 hours of the crash.

What can I say, this is a hard drive. As long as you go with a major brand like Western Digital or Seagate, you will be fine.

II'm giving this drive 5 stars, even though it actually did not work as a replacement drive for my 2005 laptop. Although the drive installed w/o errors, reported properly in system BIOS, and accepted my backup restore, I could not boot from it. I determined that it is not the drive's fault, but rather a fault with other hardware or the BIOS s not recent enough to support the new drive. I kept the drive as a emergency replacement for another desktop.

This was a great buy at a low affordable price. I was up and running on a matter of minutes.

One of my coworkers hard drive failed, and we needed a replacement quickly. Best Buy had a good selection, and after talking with the associate, I chose the WD Mainstream 1TB drive. It has proven to be a ggod performer, and was a great value.

I had a failing hard drive on my 2008 iMac. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a flash based drive, so this 1TB drive really fit the bill. Install went pretty smooth for someone that had never replaced a hard drive before
