I usually prefer Western Digital hard drives because my previous experience with them has always been great and never disappointing. This drive was easy to install and the included Acronis Image Writer software made it very easy to transfer not only all my personal files to the new drive, but my Operating System as well. Once the file transfer was complete, I simply plugged the SATA cable of the new drive into my motherboard, powered up the computer and it booted right up just like with the old drive.

This drive installed without issue in a Dell Optiplex780. Works great. Restored backup from external drive and was off and running.

Needed this for my camera system. Was easy to install and I've used for almost a year now and it's still working great.

Hard Drive is fast and very quiet, Had Geek Squad install, they were very professional.

While I haven't had it installed much more than a month, it is continuing to work very well. Seems to have decent Read/write speed for a basic HD.

Price is low for the quality you get in return. It is easy to install and gives detailed instructions on using it. It is a great buy. I would recommend it to anyone. The amount of storage space you have on this hard drive will last for a very long time. 4/5.

Was working on a Friends computer and he couldn't figure out why it was running so very slow, and getting a blue screen after booting up. Found out it was a bad drive. Bought this Western Digital 1 TB drive to replace his existing one, and that booted up without any issues. Best Buy had it in stock and took only a few minutes to pick up, swap out, and install the OS. Everything is great.

Since my existing hard disk drive was failing FAST, I needed to replace it quickly. If Best Buy had had a suitable Solid State Drive replacement (for a desktop) available in store, I would've bought an SSD instead. This hard drive didn't include a required internal SATA cable, so I had to make a second trip for that. Despite following the instructions, Western Digital's cloning software failed to clone as promised (perhaps because my exsiting disk drive was already too far gone). I ended up needing Geek Squad's service to perform the cloning. But since installation, it has been working fine for over a month now.
