I purchased this same disk drive before, same manufacturer, model, capacity. Like the previous one, the new one was easy to install, just a data cable and power cable. If necessary, check the web to find out how your operating system can recognize this new disk.

This is just what I need holds a lot of memory and is faster.

I have always had good service with Western Digital hard drives. I like the 1TB capacity and the 7200 RPM disk speed of this drive. The sale price made it even more appealing. I have purchased three of these drives in the past few weeks.

Excellent SATA Drive. Replaced this drive in a iMac circa 2009 reviews stated issues with fan sensor not regulating the fan speed however this was not the case. Quadrupled the capacity and tripled the drive speed. All components and wires reconnected perfect. Western digital makes a solid work horse drive that I can put my faith into.

I bought this hard drive to replace one that failed in a 3+ year old desktop. It's performed flawlessly! Don't get me wrong, it's no solid-state drive, but for the price if you don't need the speed of solid-state, you can't go wrong with this drive. Western Digital always comes through for me!
