Purchased this HD to replace an old WD 300GB hard drive that finally died after 12 yrs in my old iMac PC. Hopefully this drive will last as long the original one.

Yet again another solid drive from WD. Zero issues with it. Works great as a main drive for your OS, or as a secondary for Steam or other game apps.

Great hard drive. It’s working wonderfully so far on my server/streaming pc. WD in my opinion is far better then Seagate... have had too many faulty drives from Seagate in the past.

Great price for the storage size. I have several of these that have been very reliable.

Learned over the years to clone and replace drives on my older computers. I have a drive cloner. Never had an issue with a WD drive but several Seagates have bit the dust.

Installed without a glitch and have been running PC nonstop for days at a time for SETI. No overheating and no disk errors. Can't ask for more from a hard drive.

I needed a replacement drive to replace my IDE drive because my motherboard died, so I went with this drive. This was the best drive I could find for the price. I wanted a good SATA drive with at least 7200 RPM, which the 1TB was only a little over $15 more than a 500GB. The only drawback is that I could not copy the Windows 7 OS from my IDE drive to this drive.

From a great brand that always has great products and always reliable. I've only had this for a week but I've bought multiple hard drives from this brand for all my builds and probably always will.

I needed a new external hard drive and I thought this was a nice bargain. I have not had any problems with WD hard drives so I stuck with what has worked in the past.

Just needed a new HD to replace the old one in my mom's computer, didn't need anything fancy/expensive. This one does the job, and should last as long as any other. Worth the price for sure.

Decent replacement HDD for my 9-year-old desktop at a very good price. Took about an hour to swap out the drive and restore my Windows 7 operating system.

Service was helpful when looking for a drive to replace the one that had stopped working. Was told that this was the best and a good price for the amount of drive space Love my gueek squad.

I had a hard drive crash and decided to upgrade a little bit. I doubled my hard drive and the ram. All went well. The hard drive installed quickly and easily.

The hard drive was easy to install in the computer, but the cloning software advertised on the box as "Free" was not. The "free" version of the software did not include the cloning feature, that costs an extra 50 bucks.

I have never had any issues with WD drives so far. Eventually all drives fail, so make sure you backup your data. I won't need to worry about it for a while, but I will still backup my important items.

Great HDD. Low cost and it is a physical drive. SSD will fail over time. These do not. Not as fast as an SSD, but won't fail as quickly.

Had to buy replace my old 8 year old hard drive that was shot. Got this drive for $45 and for the price I can't complain. Had no issue with putting a fresh install of window on it.

I bought two of these to replace aging storage drives in a RAID 1 setup. They're replacing Western Digital Blacks of the same size. I can tell no performance difference, noise difference, or real world read/write difference. Everything works as it should. I've always had better luck with WD drives than any other brand, so I expect good life from these.

My Mom’s computer was running slower and slower until it finally just quit. Geek Squad ran a diagnostic on it and showed a failed hard drive. They installed a new one and it’s working great!
