Definitely great for extra storage and i recomend for just that!

When I repair clients computers this is the drive I purchase to put in their computers. Western Digital builds quality drives and never lacks. All my customers never need Drive replacements after I put this in.

We needed to add more room for all the videos on the current hard drive. The price was right and it did 7200 rpm. It was a perfect match for our needs.

I bought this drive to replace and upgrade my server. The old drive was a 500Gb Seagate, so I had to reinstall everything. I was done with the reinstall of my OS in record time and I couldn't be happier.

Does what a hard drive should do. Great space. However way to DAYUMN LOUD. I COULD HEAR IT OVER MY FANS, AND I HAVE *6* OF THEM.!

I installed the hard drive in a Dell Inspiron 531 Desktop which I installed Windows Vista on. The Western Digital Hard drive worked perfectly out of the box.

I bought this to replace a failed 320 gb drive in my HP tower. My pc is over 7 years old and this drive doesnt draw more power or slow the system down at all. I'm very happy with this drive and would buy it again.

Great storage for a PC rebuild. I’m rebuilding an older pc And needed a new drive. This one fit the bill, plenty of space, and priced right. Good warranty too.

Bought this during the deal of the day price. Well worth the money. Very easy to set up. My only complain is that SATA cable does not come with the box but overall very happy with the product.

Originally purchased as a replacement for my iMac. I found out that the problem was the video card not the hard drive so I bought an enclosure and now I use the hard drive to as a backup.

This is my third internal WD drive and I also have three external NAS connected to my network.Exactly what I needed for my computer. Using it as a separate volume to store some critical data.

This is probably one of the best options for a general use hard disk drive. Western Digital has great reliability on their consumer grade drives - I have one that has been running for 7+ years of spin time.
