It's a hard drive. It's not silent, but not loud. It's plenty big to store your data. The cost is fair. Stop thinking, just get it. If you are looking at a new HDD, this is the one you want.

I love this hard drive! The other hard drive I had locked up and could not access it, so I chose this one and it’s great! No complaints!

I'd take a Western Digital drive over Seagate any day. The mainstream is their budget line drives and they are very reliable, just make sure you are buying the right drive for what you want it to do. The different color drives do mean different performance. Still these are great drives for the price.

It's hard to believe that a 1TB drive could be this inexpensive. I've been a user of WD drives since 1989. They have always been solid performers.

I wanted a build to use for the Technical Preview of Win 10. Did not want to spend too much on the initial build. Will be upgrading after Win 10 is finally released. I got a great deal on this WD Blue drive.
