Western Digital hard drives are the best in the industry in my opinion they've always function really well.

I have purchased several of these drives and I think that they are a good value. Long MTBF and fast for a mechanical drive.

replaced a similar failing Seagate drive. The WD is quiet, solid, and runs cooler. I have no real tests to prove it but the WD does not seem to access data as fast as the Seagate. This drive is mostly a storage drive so not a big deal.

Whenever I replace a Desktop or Laptop Hard drive, western digital only. I tried other manufacturers years ago, no go.

Month ago installed Mainstream 1TB Internal Serial ATA Hard Drive for Desktop. So for working great.

WD makes an OK hard drive. I'm sure others would argue with me on this point by saying they are the long time standard-bearer of hard drives. My overall issue is its energy management software. In short, all Western Digital drives spin down much too quickly and take themselves off-line. Overall, it's not a terrible trait. It's just annoying when you leave the drive alone for 5 minutes, it spins down and then interrupts your workflow when you call on it and it needs to spin back up. I prefer Seagate's Barracuda line.

The hard drive works exactly as advertised. I have had one of these hard drives for almost a decade and it operates without any issues. Also has pretty decent load times for a non-SSD.

WD hard drives have always been my first choice in HDs. Durable and dependable. Very affordable quality.

Replaced a crashed drive of the same size as this one. Seems to be working great!
