Worked great for my first build but eventually switched to SSD

Grateful to find a well-priced and well-regarded replacement part so close to home. I was up and running again within 24 hours of the crash.

My old drive that I stored movies & pictures on went down, so this drive was used to replaced it, easy to install no problems at all.

Never had a problem with Western Digital. Always worked when I needed it. Their products are awesome.

Purchased this to replace a damaged hard drive in a dvr. Works flawlessly, no issues at all.

What can I say, this is a hard drive. As long as you go with a major brand like Western Digital or Seagate, you will be fine.

One of my coworkers hard drive failed, and we needed a replacement quickly. Best Buy had a good selection, and after talking with the associate, I chose the WD Mainstream 1TB drive. It has proven to be a ggod performer, and was a great value.

This is a replacement for my previous hard drive that failed. So far it is working well and quickly.

I had a failing hard drive on my 2008 iMac. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a flash based drive, so this 1TB drive really fit the bill. Install went pretty smooth for someone that had never replaced a hard drive before

II'm giving this drive 5 stars, even though it actually did not work as a replacement drive for my 2005 laptop. Although the drive installed w/o errors, reported properly in system BIOS, and accepted my backup restore, I could not boot from it. I determined that it is not the drive's fault, but rather a fault with other hardware or the BIOS s not recent enough to support the new drive. I kept the drive as a emergency replacement for another desktop.

This was a great buy at a low affordable price. I was up and running on a matter of minutes.

As a basic HDD for my desktop, all I really have to say is that it worked as intended and expanded my storage capacity by a lot. It was easy to install but make sure you have your own SATA cable and power connector.

Very good internal replacement hard drive set a great price. 2year warranty, universal SATA compatibility, and cross-platform compatible.

I had my hard drive replaced due to the old one failing. This was replaced by Brian with the Geek Squad who, in my opinion, was the best tech rep I'd ever worked with. So far, this is a good replacement!
