Planned to use her old hard drive as a data drive but because had Win 7 on it, refused to boot with competing operating systems. Got this drive to make a pure data drive, transferring over only data. Programs are installed on the SSD. As I decided between WD and Seagate, the like priced Seagate had a slower transfer rate.
