    I bought and had Best buy install this hard drive on my new computer, since my previous computer (hard drive) crashed & the data on it is unrecoverable. I have not yet created any data to save to the hard drive, but I am sure that I soon will do so, as there are certain files that I have to rebuild.

    Though it doesn't seem old to me, my old Win7 computer's OS hard drive was dying. The **new** WD drive ships with a download link to hard drive replication software. It perfectly replicated my old HD, and I was able to run the software in my old Recovery partition to perfectly restore my system. It's **never** fun to have hardware fail on you, but this was as painless as possible.
