I wanted to have extra storage for videos for my Scrapbooking busness. This drive meets my needs which now gives me a total of 2GB storage between the two drives. Was very easy to install on my new Dell PC.

Fast drives that are inexpensive and fairly fast compared to the WD green drives out there. I used two to put together a small home NAS that I mirror in software with Windows and it works great thus far!

I do a lot of photo editing on my Mac Pro, so all my internal drives, except this one, are 7200 rpm. I use this one for a Windows partition, and find that it is quiet and more than fast enough.

Bought this drive for a family members machine to replace an aging 5400 rpm drive. Having gotten used to SSD speeds, I had forgotten that moving from 5400 to this drive's 7200 rpm is still a considerable upgrade in speed. This is a good option for anyone needing terabyte storage but who doesn't require SSD level performance .

Excellent reliable replacement drive. Ive had many seagate drives die over the years. my last seagate just died, and this is the replacement. Speed is very good for an entry level drive.

Bought this HDD for my personal desktop PC I built for simulation and gaming and everyday use. Loads of storage and fast read and write times with 7200rpm disk speed. Works great! Easy to install!

If your looking for a cheap hard drive to put in an enclosure or just for a old pc that you have to have replaced this is a good hard drive just for that.

Purchased to replace the drive in my mother's computer after it failed. Western Digital reliability is one reason why I bought it. It is easy to install in the tower.

Had a Internal Hard drive that had a sudden unrecoverable crash. I had everything backed up on an old secondary drive but I bought the new WD 1 TB new drive. Drive works great - quiet and quick. The software to clone the new drive was ok, (and free) but not great. First of all there was only 1 small reference as to where to obtain the software and then they didn't mention that you needed to initialize the new drive before anything would work. I've done it all before so I got it done, but it is not SIMPLE. However the drive is great so far. The 1 TB mainstream drive is 7200 rpm but the bigger ones are 5400 rpm.

Needed a new hard drive for my computer. This drive was a great value, easy to install and comes with free Acronis software for cloning my old drive. Everything I wanted.

hd does what I purchased it for: size, reliability, adequate speed, and is a good primary hd for an older pc. would buy again without reservation.

I bought the hard drive to replace old one. It performs as good as a solid drive, and has a ton more space with less money. So far i am pleased with the reliability and performance.
