These hard drives perform very well and provide lots of storage for not very much money. So far the two drives I purchased have proven very reliable. The only drawback is the noise. Compared to smaller 2.5 inch drives and solid state drives, these tend to be a little noisy when writing data.

This drive is easy to install and works well as my data drive. It comes with mounting screws but no rails or SATA cable. You can download Acronis Trueimage (WD edition) software from WD's website.

Works great was not interested in specs just needed extra space for my desktop when in works perfect would recommend to anybody that needs additional space for there desktop

I used this drive to replace customers bad drive. They were happy with the price and additional space they received with this purchase. Their son is now happy playing his games.

7200 rpm is still pretty fast and dependable. This WD 1TB Blue has been a buy for every system I've built over the passed six years. What used to sell for around $200, you can get now for $60 is a huge selling point. These drives are great as a master or slave storage drive. Never had any of these fail on me. I don't recommend WD green drives (due to their very slow performance and non-stressful intended use and if you force them to run hard for gaming which will wear those drives down to corruption). My WD blues are still running after six years with no signs of slow downs or sector read/write errors. Will buy again! Kudos Western Digital.

Replaced OEM HD on wife's system. I used Macrium Reflect with restore disks. Flawless update. Drive works great. Highly reconmended. Oh yeah, did I say $45. Wow!

This is my new steam library hard drive, so instead of using my limited spaced SSD I'm now installing my games here. So far everything is going smoothly, and the price is very affordable.

My original Hard Drive crashed. So I went online and found this hard drive. It was very inexpensive. Wow, after installing it, I found it to be very fast and quiet at the same time.

what can I say??? it is a 1 tb hard drive that was the exact same model in my dell computer that i need to make a mirror / clone drive. I have used WD drive in the past and will do so again

Bought this unit to replace the drive in a friend desktop. This unit was chosen as the best performance and size for the budget. Works perfectly with the benefit of additional storage space.

Easy to install. Works great. The transfer rate is excellent At times, it hits consistently 75 Mega Bytes/sec. Really nothing to complain about. It is all positive so far.

I had to replace my wife's crashed drive and this WD drive was a great price and works like a charm. It's also faster than her older one so it's a double win!

This disk drive is very fast. This is my second WD drive in my PC. I have been using a WD 640 GB for the past 6 years as my primary drive. The new 1 TB was easy to install.

Great economy drive for storage. I use this for photo, music game storage to save space on my ssd drives. Works great and is surprisingly quiet which was one of my goals in my latest pc build.

I used this to upgrade the drive in my Consolidated DVR. The DVR box recognized it, installed it's proprietary software and booted successfully. I went from a small number of HD recording hours to hundreds and it runs cool and quiet in my bedroom.

This traditional hard drive is a great price for the data storage capacity. Have this drive paired with an SSD drive on a new PC build. Works great and was easy to configure

I just installed it in a computer that I am updating, increasing the storage from 75 gb to 1tb. along with an upgrade in the OS. The installation was straight forward with no problems.

First purchased wd 2tb which would not work for me.. exchanged for 1tb which installed and works flawlessly

This is the most compatible hard drive, i used for my imac, and it was fully compatible with the temp sensor, also the performance with OS SIERRA is great, thank you
