Yes, I need to replace it, but as a retiree I needed a more affordable solution. This hard drive was just what I needed. I have had no problems at all.

Great Deal

Didn't particularly need or want a 1TB HD (replacing a 500G that was more than I ever needed), but 500G's are hard to find for PCs anymore and this 1TB was on sale for a great price.

Had to return 2nd; inadequate power in Lenovo desk

I figured out that the power supply in my Lenovo desktop was too low to handle both. I replaced the system drive with an SDD. worked fine after that.

Very fast boot times

They were right. I would not put music files on them. I would only put programs that you want to load quickly. Keep your files on another hard drive.

I've Mainly used WD drives begining in the 1980's
