Works better than my old 1.5T drive.

I was doubtful about buying a WD drive because of past experience, but I could not pass up the price. I saw a significant increase in overall performance from my old drive. Windows 7 booted (including password entry) in less than a minute. previous boot times exceeded 3 minutes. Browser pages seemed to update rapidly as well. My current suite of apps is not as bloated as before, so that could have had some impact. Considering the price/performace value I have experienced, I would readily buy this drive again.

solid desktop storage

Basic "BLUE" series Hard Drive

Western Digital drives seem more reliable than Seagate and definitely more than Maxtor. Have bought many and will be buying more of these in the near future.
