Since my existing hard disk drive was failing FAST, I needed to replace it quickly. If Best Buy had had a suitable Solid State Drive replacement (for a desktop) available in store, I would've bought an SSD instead. This hard drive didn't include a required internal SATA cable, so I had to make a second trip for that. Despite following the instructions, Western Digital's cloning software failed to clone as promised (perhaps because my exsiting disk drive was already too far gone). I ended up needing Geek Squad's service to perform the cloning. But since installation, it has been working fine for over a month now.

Always easy to install and is performing as expected. WD is one of my go to brands for hard drives.

This drive has plenty of room for the average user and is very easy to install. It is a well-built drive and easy to set up.

This drove was a lifesaver. The original drive failed after five years and i did not want to pay several hundred dollars demanded for a in installed replacement with operating system. This drive dropped in and set up easily. WD came fo the rescue again.

My computer was really starting to suffer with unresponsiveness and unexplainable errors. After exhausting every other option I finally turned to the hard drive. I used this drive to replace an old Seagate, and I couldn't be happier. Western Digital offers a free version of Acronis TrueImage to help you copy all your data to your new drive. I had recently reinstalled Windows and did not feel like going through that hassle again, so it was nice to keep everything how it was and maintain the boot-ability of the OS.

This is not the first time I have used this brand of hardware. I have not had problems in the past and I do not expect problems now. I did not have any difficulties installing it and it is working great. Stay with what works for you

I trust the Western Digital brand. This is a great hard drive for a good price. Fast and reliable. Everything I look for in a hard drive.

This isn't the sexiest drive out there, but it's a solid performer in all the areas that counts: reliability, speed and price point.

My small SSD overflowed despite cleanups and moving apps to another drive so it was time to get something bigger. Coming from SSD it's slow but faster than many hard drives. Fairly quiet considering that it works by spinning rust in enclosure :)

I bought this hard drive to replace the Seagate drive that came in the computer. The drive seems to run great (it's hard to gauge a drive until it dies). But it is worth noting that the drive cloning software that came with it had the following problems: 1) Software does not run on Windows 10 2) Will not run unless a Western Digital drive is connected to the system* * Note: This was a problem because I tried to use another computer to create an image of the bad hard drive (which would not boot), and then copy that image on the new drive...but the software refused to run for making the image because I did not have a western digital drive connected (because I had the failing Seagate drive connected). I got around this problem using some great free tools that can be downloaded from the internet for cloning hard drives

I bought this drive for expanding storage on a desktop. Installation and configuration was easy and it's working great.

Easy install and set-up a good fast drive. My only concern was the 2 year warranty.

Purchased to add a second drive to my server. Blue drive is performing well and its fast enough for transferring data.

The mainstream drives are just that, not as fast as a black not as slow as a green. They are plenty fast enough for all but the most demanding users, have a good price point and are quiet. Not really much more you could ask for from a general use hard drive.

I needed an inexpensive 1 TB internal hard drive and this one works great. I don't hear a thing from it and performance is good. It is not an SSD, but it doesn't cost that either. This is a good drive and I hope reliable. I've only had it for 1 month.
