I went to get a new drive that match my old one that was failing, this was the only brand that Best Buy had with the same capacity, after a few hours of wondering why i couldn't get it to format, I took the hard drive back and had them check it out, it was bad out of box. I had them get another one and check it before I left, it has worked fine.

WD is never my first choice in hard drives but does ok in a pinch.

I'm into computer repair. I will not save switch to a different brand to save my customers 5 to 10 dollars. This is the best brand and the customer service beats the rest. I highly recommend WD.

Nothing special. Good value for the money. Used this to replace a clients drive that had died.

Returned since not needed. Computer needed replaced.

This hard drive is an acceptable price. It seems to work well with my desktop PC setup

I buy a lot of hard drives and generally don't have problems with them. This one however was nothing but aggravating. Windows said it couldn't format the drive with no other explanations. That meant I had to run data lifeguard on it and see what the problem was, that problem was too many errors code 225. Since this was just past the 15 days, I was waiting for other parts to arrive, I could not return it to best buy. I had to ship this brand new drive off to WD at a cost of $10.51 and wait to have them return me a used "reconditioned" drive. Overall, a terrible experience.

I had this for about two months before I had to RMA it. The hard drive went dead. Wouldn't power on. I think I have had more issues with WD than Seagate, WD RMA process was simple and quick so I gave it two stars thanks to WDs customer support for their products. Received a refurbished HDD from WD, but I have yet to test it.

When I purchased my HP from Best Buy, it came loaded with everything I need to do any conceivable task. AND, I could operate it immediately. THEN MY HARD DRIVE WENT! And life has never been the same since. The new hard drive has Win 10 which in my considered opinion is just a pile of junk. Everything you try to do is awkward, sometimes taking several steps to arrive at what you want. I am disappointed that, even though I have Geek Squad Protection, when my computer was "ready for pickup", nothing was set up for me on the new system. I believe any reasonable person would have expected it would have been set up and reviewed with the customer upon pickup. So, where do we go from here?

I bought this internal hard drive to replace a failed disc in my Sony all-in-one that is a couple of years old. I spent days trying to get it to mount with no luck. I ended up returning it. I don't understand why the newest technology isn't compatible with slightly older machines???
