Works as advertised
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had to replace my old hard drive when it suddenly crashed. Hard drive replaced was 750GB. Plenty of room on this drive. No noticeable difference in speed. I was hoping for a faster seek time and load time. That is why I gave it only a 4-star. My old drive lasted 4 years. The computer was constantly on and running. Make sure you make a recovery disk of your operating system! This is a MUST DO! DO IT NOW!!!! Also, I used Carbonite as my backup and was able to restore all of my docs, music, videos, photos, etc. It took a while to restore but I got them back! I still use Carbonite and I also use iDrive. Well worth it. Especially after a hard drive failure. YOU LOOSE EVERYTHING! Gone forever! Let me know if you have any questions. I would love to help.

Keep in mind I am only a month into the new drive. I was able to configure the drive to replace a failing drive with no issues.
