Keep in mind I am only a month into the new drive. I was able to configure the drive to replace a failing drive with no issues.

Count on WD Drives for Reliability

Western Digital proves time after time, that this product is the most reliable for long term daily use. The color coding system that WD uses to identify capabilities and uses for the drive is very helpful. Red for NAS, Purple for surveillance, Blue for everyday requirements. I have experienced hard drive failures in the past. It was the competition and not a WD product.
