I've lost 3 drives previously from that company without being able to recover what I had on them. But I can tell people that this drive has continued to perform just as advertised.

Great buy for the multi-OS machine I'm building!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've made a couple of starts at putting together a PC with many Os's, going back as far as possible (will even try to include MS-DOS 6.22!). Originally I intended to make many partitions and use Boot Magic; however I've taken better advice, and now will use a virtual machine basis, such as Virtual Box, with the hope that it will let me use quite a bit of that 1 TB for 10-15 setups.

Saved my life

So I ran to best buy really quick and picked this up (after the Amazon price match) and took this home. The cloning software was awesome and allowed me to clone my whole OS, applications and settings. I then pulled my old drive and set this as the boot drive and have had a seamless change. Thank God for WD.

esay to use

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loaded everything from my computer which included about 2300 pictures, some over 20 years old, onto this hard drive to make sure I would have a copy. This is a true story, my computer crashed two weeks later and I lost everything. Thankfully I had all info on this external hard drive.
