    I have bought over 100 western digital drives over the years and they have always been reliable. I have had a few that had to be replaced under warranty, but was always replaced in a timely manner, and sometimes with larger capacity drives. I have several western digital drive that have been running nearly 24/7 for over 8 years.

    I was giving my old desk top to my sister as she never had a computer. I bought a new one and decided to destroy the hard drive in my old one. I purchased this hard drive and installed it and loaded the soft ware. It was ready to go and I sent to my sister in the Midwest so we could email each other.

    Great hard drive if you'd like to switch out failed/failing hard drive. It is somewhat quick at 7200 rpm but if you'd like better speed out of loading programs, go for an ssd. It isn't loud like other hard drives while it is loading data, but you can somewhat hear the clicks/whirrs. Overall great hard drive! I would recommend it to anyone.
