bought this and love it plenty of storage and no problems

My existing HDD fried so I ordered this. The speed is really good, easy to install and comes with all the instructions you need.

I have bought and installed HD's in my own computers over the years and have found that the WD brand units have given me longer and more stable service that a couple of the others that I have utilized and I always paid more for each of them. This is an EXCELLANT PRODUCT at an EXCEPTIONAL PRICE.. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

This hard drive was easy to install and performs well.

I purchased the Western Digital Hard Drive as a replacement for my Dell Desktop after a virus ate the original drive up. Purchased the new drive and had to reload the operating system on to the new one. Same virus that destroyed my external hard drive. So far a great replacement product and is working as I would have come to expect.

Despite the web site label identifying this drive as a WD Mainstream it is not. The drive's case label identifies this device as a WD Blue 7200 RPM class drive. The 1TB Blue model is the only one that is 7200 RPM class, all larger capacities are 5400 RPM class. As it stands this drive is sufficient to act as an externally housed off line storage drive for my laptop so the media files don't fill up the laptop's internal hard drive. The WD Blue appears to transfer data fast enough to playback HD resolution video files. However FF and RW are not as responsive as this hard drive is not a WD Black Edition with its higher transfer rates. Thus this drive shouldn't be the first choice for installing video games to.

The drive installed without a hitch or a need to mess with jumpers. It works well and is fast.

5 year old Dell hard drive was failing. It was easy to install this Hard drive. Seems to be doing what it should.

Ok, what can you say about an internal desktop hard drive? It either works or not. BUT, it is really nice to be able to buy one off the shelf when you need it. BestBuy's price is just as good as the Internet and the shipping is always free(when I drive down the street and pick it up). Can't go wrong with WD drives either.

It works quite well. And the installation was simple

I used the Western Digital 1 TB drive to clone an existing hard drive. Lucky for me that I did because a few days later the main hard drive failed due to a software error and I was able to restore it using the Western Digital drive. As usual WD drives are the best and most reliable I've found and I use many of them in a NAS.

My hard drive was experiencing problems and windows indicated it was about to crash so this purchase was out of necessity. Ordering was quick and easy and the price was fair. Only problem with installation was the copy software did not run and I feel it was due to my original hard drive having problems. Other than that it is working great!

Very easy to install. Very fast for Windows 7 desktop.

Its a 1tb drive, 6gbs, 7200rpm, decent cache. Cant beat this for $29.00!! Got it during a flash sale. Its a little faster than the seagate 1tb 7200 rpm drive in my backup computer. I actually wouldnt buy this unless it is dang cheap like i got it. The best spinners are hybrids right now and they arent much more than this at regular price. This is my music/movie disc. 2tb firecuda sshd hybrid is my gaming drive. It eats this drive up, but again for 29 dollars this was a no brainer.

To me, Western Digital is a trusted name and the proof is in the podding. I purchased this drive to setup a NVR for our surveillance cameras. High bandwidth data rates makes this drive crucial for system performance. It has been running non stop since purchase and not one glitch!

Added as a second internal HD to back up documents, pics, etc. Plenty of storage and fast speed for a great price.
