Good mainstream performance at a great price

The drive performs well is quiet and runs at a lower temperature range than the older drive. It is perfect for a business computer where a tremendous amount of space is not necessary but has plenty of space for local documents ect.

My go to drive for basic PCs

It has solid speeds for the price and is great for office work or small games. Serious gaming I would get an SSD which I usually pair with one of these to store music and documents. Have not had one fail yet, often has these for $10 off. Great value.

Great Value and Easy Installation

I was upset when I got to Bestbuy and the item was not on the shelf but a service rep was quick to help and get them from the store's storage area. The last few times I have been to Bestbuy the service staff have been available and extremely helpful.

Replacement primary drive

Have always performed well and usually priced right. This was a replacement drive for an original drive that came in a desktop. The original drive has had problems off and on for a while and it was time to replace it with a new unit. Very pleased !!

Replacement HDD
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My wife's computer HDD failed on a Saturday and I was able to get a replacement off the shelf at Best Buy so that I could restore her windows PC. If Best Buy hadn't had the HDD, I might have met my demise by Sunday. On another note, the HDD works perfectly and I got it on sale to sweeten the deal.

Good drive but not a typical installation

I've had many WDs in the past and I was replacing a 320 MB WD hard drive with this 1 TB drive but this is the first time the computer would not find new hardware. It did not recognize it. Had me scratching my head for awhile until I Googled the problem and got a solution. Ended up in disk management and had to give the drive a drive letter and tell the computer what was there. Works fine now.
