To me, Western Digital is a trusted name and the proof is in the podding. I purchased this drive to setup a NVR for our surveillance cameras. High bandwidth data rates makes this drive crucial for system performance. It has been running non stop since purchase and not one glitch!

For Comsumer computing Western Digital is still the standard since I started using them in 2005, there the only type I use.

This internal 1TB hard drive was a great value and was easy to install. I was upset when I got to Bestbuy and the item was not on the shelf but a service rep was quick to help and get them from the store's storage area. The last few times I have been to Bestbuy the service staff have been available and extremely helpful.

Nothing but good things to say about Western Digital drives. Have always performed well and usually priced right. This was a replacement drive for an original drive that came in a desktop. The original drive has had problems off and on for a while and it was time to replace it with a new unit. Very pleased !!

In a bind for a failed drive for a work pc, this drive filled the role just fine. Decent speed and quiet operation.

Parts for a gaming build for my grandson. I love being able to shop online and pick up at the store. Convenient, quick service, and no porch pirates! Every item went together perfectly and the build fired right up! Great service.

My wife's computer HDD failed on a Saturday and I was able to get a replacement off the shelf at Best Buy so that I could restore her windows PC. If Best Buy hadn't had the HDD, I might have met my demise by Sunday. On another note, the HDD works perfectly and I got it on sale to sweeten the deal.

Now that its working it's just as good as any other hard drive that I've owned. I've had many WDs in the past and I was replacing a 320 MB WD hard drive with this 1 TB drive but this is the first time the computer would not find new hardware. It did not recognize it. Had me scratching my head for awhile until I Googled the problem and got a solution. Ended up in disk management and had to give the drive a drive letter and tell the computer what was there. Works fine now.

I had been looking for a hard drive to replace my failing hard drive so I bought this one as it included cloning software with it. Unfortunately my other hard drive completely failed before I could install the new drive. I removed the old drive, bought windows 10 and installed both with no problems.
